Chinese Foreign Minister: Americans should not cross China's red lines
31
Americans should not cross China's red lines regarding its sovereignty. Beijing has always acted in relation to other states based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and mutually beneficial partnership.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi, spoke about this in Beijing during a conversation with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who is currently on a visit to the People's Republic of China.
China's demands are consistent. The United States should not interfere in China's internal affairs, suppress China's development, and cross red lines when it comes to China's sovereignty, security, and development interests
- said the diplomat.
He also emphasized that the Chairman of the People's Republic of China and the entire leadership of the republic consistently advocate the stable development of ties between China and America.
Wang Yi noted that in general, relations between the two states are now consistently positive, although there are also plenty of negative aspects. According to him, other countries of the world are closely monitoring their development. After all, many global processes depend on whether Beijing and Washington will solve world problems together or get involved in a conflict with each other, which will harm both the United States and China.
The working visit of US State Department head Antony Blinken to China began on April 24 with a visit to Shanghai. Today the American Secretary of State intends to leave China.
