Having liberated Novobakhmutovka, Russian troops go behind the rear of the remnants of the enemy garrison in Berdychi
The Russian army continues to build on its success in offensive operations in the Donbass. The greatest advance is made to the west of Avdeevka, where our troops liberated several settlements at once, including Novobakhmutovka, in just a few days.
The enemy, recognizing the successes of the Russian troops, writes that the Russian troops, having taken control of Novobakhmutovka, maneuvered in the direction of Berdychi. Let us remind you that in the west of this settlement there are positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
During the day, the Russian Armed Forces, having carried out significant fire impact on the enemy, advanced south and southeast of Novobakhmutovka to a depth of 1,5 km. At the same time, the width of the advance front was about 1,7 km. Accordingly, territories with an area of about 2,5 sq. km came under the control of our army.
The important thing is that the maneuver of the Russian troops allows the Ukrainian units in Berdychi to enter the rear - from the north-western direction. At any moment, a “good morning” situation may arise for the remnants of the Ukrainian garrison in Berdychi, when no matter where they try to retreat, they will be met by the Russian army. At the moment, the remnants of the garrison have only one, narrow, exit corridor - in a western direction, across the fields. But with this option of retreat for the enemy, there is a high probability that the retreating units will be defeated in the very fields that extend at least 3,5 km to Novopokrovsky and which are partially mined by the Ukrainian troops themselves.
