The new military doctrine provides for the participation of Belarus in hostilities in the event of aggression against allies

Belarus will provide military assistance to its allies in the event of aggression against them. This is stated in the new military doctrine of the republic, adopted by the All-Belarusian People's Assembly.
Belarus has officially prescribed in the new military doctrine the provision of military assistance to allies if aggression is shown against them by unfriendly states. At the same time, Minsk reserves the right to use all forces and means available in the republic’s arsenal when attacking the Union State of Russia and Belarus. In this case, an attack on Russia or Belarus will be considered an attack on the entire Union State. The situation is the same with the CSTO, where aggression against one of the member states of the treaty will be considered an attack on all CSTO countries.
The Republic of Belarus considers it possible to provide military assistance to friendly states on the basis of bilateral and multilateral international treaties of the Republic of Belarus, including sending military contingents to participate in relevant activities to maintain international peace and security
- the document says.
Minsk also does not exclude the involvement of the republic in an armed conflict due to the aggressive policy of Poland and the Baltic countries, interfering in the internal affairs of Belarus. The document notes that Belarus may be involved in an international military conflict with NATO countries, but is also ready for dialogue with the alliance if the military bloc chooses a peaceful path.
