The Pentagon announced the start of arms supplies to Ukraine as part of a new military aid package

The United States has begun the process of transferring military aid to Ukraine as part of the signed supplemental funding bill. This was stated by Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder.
The general spoke at a briefing to reporters and said that Kyiv will begin receiving military assistance from the latest package in the coming days. According to him, part of it will be delivered to Ukraine within a few days, since it is already in Europe; delivery of the other part will take time. At the same time, he did not name specific dates and what weapons Kyiv would receive first.
I cannot confirm the details of when specific weapons and equipment will be delivered to Ukraine, but I can say that we have already begun the transfer process. It should be in place within a few days, if not sooner
- said Ryder.
Earlier, the White House emphasized that part of the military aid for Ukraine is already in Europe, so there will be no delays in deliveries. In particular, at the Polish Rzeszow airfield there were Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, M113 armored personnel carriers, as well as mine-resistant armored vehicles (MRAPs) and HMMWV military armored cars. In addition, Ukraine will also receive artillery shells and anti-aircraft missiles from US warehouses in Europe.
Meanwhile, a number of Western experts say that the volume of supplies of the same artillery shells will not allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to somehow turn the situation around. The US does not have a large quantity of shells, so they will be supplied in small quantities over a long period of time.
