Vladimir Putin confirmed plans for a visit to China, he announced this during a speech at the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).

The Russian president's visit to China will take place in May of this year; Putin did not specify the exact dates. Most likely, the meeting between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping will take place after the inauguration ceremony, which will take place on May 7. Earlier, Russian Presidential Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Putin's visit to China would be announced in a timely manner, but did not confirm that it would be the first foreign visit after the inauguration.
