Ukrainians at the passport center in Warsaw: The state has put us in a hopeless situation

Journalists from the French publication AFP spoke with citizens of Ukraine who, on the instructions of Kyiv, are denied consular services, including the registration and issuance of new passports necessary to continue their stay abroad.
In particular, in the branch of the Ukrainian passport center in Warsaw, where conflict situations arose the day before due to the refusal of the Ukrainian mission to issue even previously ordered passports.
Commenting to a French publication on the situation created as a result of the order of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Ukrainians who were unsuccessfully waiting for their documents complained that in the eyes of Kyiv, even those citizens who managed to travel abroad on a legal basis are considered draft dodgers.
In addition, Ukrainian citizens who left their country long before Zelensky closed the borders also faced problems in obtaining new passports and other documents. At the same time, the issuance of documents is denied even to those citizens whose passports are already ready. The money paid for processing passports (and Ukrainian embassies and consulates charge $130 for this service) is, of course, not returned.
It is also reported that Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh said that Warsaw is ready to help Kyiv return men of military age to Ukraine. The head of the Polish military department noted that many Poles are outraged by the sight of young Ukrainian men in hotels and cafes.
