Russian troops, after intense artillery fire on the enemy, entered the village of Solovyovo
31
For several hours on the night of April 25, Russian troops carried out continuous fire attacks on the positions of the 47th and 100th brigades in the village of Solovyovo, southwest of Ocheretino. Let us recall that the remnants of the 47th brigade, after the actual defeat in Ocheretino, retreated precisely towards Solovyovo, and units of the 100th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were sent to the same direction “to hold the front line and provide support to the 47th brigade.”
Currently, information is being received that Russian troops have entered the village of Solovyovo and occupied positions that were controlled by the enemy a few hours ago. At the same time, our artillery continues to strike enemy positions in the western part of this village.
In this way, the Armed Forces of Ukraine grouping is systematically achieving the goal to the west of the previously liberated Avdiivka. All key heights in this direction, including Ocheretinsky, have been occupied.
Entering Solovyovo may ultimately allow the Russian Armed Forces to develop success in a western direction, primarily towards neighboring Novopokrovsky, located in the lowland. Novopokrovskoye is already part of the 3rd line of defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces west of Avdeevka. On the same line is Umanskoye, the outskirts of which our troops also approached.
