The State Duma has prepared amendments to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, providing for up to 35 years in prison for sabotage activities

Since the beginning of the Russian Armed Forces' special operation in Ukraine, the number of sabotage acts on Russian territory has increased sharply.

These crimes are committed by our fellow citizens, recruited by Ukrainian and Western intelligence services. It is worth noting that Russians often carry out orders from foreign curators for a monetary reward, literally selling their homeland.

Against this backdrop, Russian legislators are taking measures to toughen penalties for such crimes. Thus, the head of the Security Committee Vasily Piskarev in his TG channel wrote that State Duma deputies have prepared amendments to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, providing for up to 35 years in prison for sabotage activities.

At the moment, punishment for the above-mentioned crimes provides for up to 30 years in prison.

Let us recall that sabotage activities mean the destruction of civilian infrastructure, as well as life support facilities for the population. In addition, this also includes harming nature and human health in order to undermine the economic security and defense capability of the country.

According to the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, voiced by him at the FSB board, traitors who commit sabotage against their country will be found and punished regardless of the statute of limitations for their crime.

But don’t the deputies want to introduce an article into the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for sabotage and sabotage of officials with the same punishment? It is not yet known what is worse: sabotage and sabotage by decision-makers or sabotage.

The State Duma has prepared amendments to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation

I did not have the honor of reading these amendments, but it seems very likely that they boil down to a small amendment to Art. 56 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Namely, part 5 of this article. Where they will simply enter the number of article 281, which for some reason they forgot to mention there earlier.
And now, based on the totality of sentences (not crimes, but sentences), it will be possible to receive a total sentence of 35 years instead of 30 for sabotage.

In general, almost all sabotage articles and points include life imprisonment. So because of these “edits” there is a lot of noise, little sense, a purely technical amendment of the Criminal Code.

We have humanists and liberals in the State Duma and the Federation Council. And the most important liberal is the president. What would you like? The Crocus killers will be sentenced to life. What if there was a miscarriage of justice? What if they weren't the ones doing the shooting? Oh no no no. Feed, water, wash, clothe, guard, maintain buildings, pay salaries to staff, etc. We live richly. Scum, in broad daylight, in the middle of the city, under camera, cuts a man with a knife for nothing. We'll investigate, maybe it's not him. Shoot one or two, they’ll quickly understand what’s what. In general, all this brethren (hot-blooded, knife lovers) must be checked for carrying knives: a knife in your pocket - that’s a sentence, a sentence, deportation. Absolutely awesome

But it turns out that the death penalty was not cancelled. It was we who observed a moratorium on its use so that European countries would hand over to us criminals who had escaped to them and were threatened by the tower. Since now they are unlikely to extradite anyone to us, in theory we could end this moratorium. But personally I am against it. What immediately comes to mind is how three innocent guys were shot instead of the maniac Tickled. Then they apologized to their relatives. They said sorry, they were wrong...

Chikatilo is the most striking example. And how many people are imprisoned because of judicial errors or trumped-up cases. In Soviet times, dishonest cops threw currency at people they didn’t like. Nowadays - drugs. And in the future, they will throw in “exposed” bank cards and SIM cards with “traces” of terrorist or espionage activities. People should have at least some chance and time to justify themselves. And posthumous rehabilitation is neither hot nor cold. hi

        only 20 years old?

In the first case, the criminal does not realize that as a result of burning the cabinet, an accident could have occurred in which many more people could have been injured. In the second case, the criminal was aware of his danger, which poses less danger to society than in the first case.

You are wrong. It was during the Soviet era that they (the assholes) all worked without exception, but now they may not work. Then the zones were called correctional labor colonies, or correctional labor colonies, but now they are simply correctional colonies. If a prisoner receives sufficient warming from the outside, then he stupidly serves his sentence and his consent is necessary to attract him to work. in case of coercion, he will file a complaint with the prosecutor’s office for supervision of the IC.
        Quote from: Peter1First
But what’s really better, to die right away, or to live for 35 years, or rather to exist, and not live - knowing that you’ll probably die in prison - that’s the question!
Here this “coin” also has two sides. When the sentence is long, the convict experiences a deformation of his personality, which is aggravated by the loss of family and social ties in the wild, when he feels much more comfortable within a limited territory than in freedom. In the zone, he can solve any issue, through the same supervisor or the administration, he is not faced with issues of arranging everyday life, such as a canteen, a bed, a bedside table, a bathhouse, medicine, light, heat, etc., and once in freedom he left to his own devices (homeless) and really doesn’t know what to do and how to solve these issues, as a result of which, having received a certificate of release, these pretzels often only get to the first station, where, after celebrating for several days, these long-term residents deliberately commit a crime from hooligans are extremely serious and happily surrender to the hands of the “native police” in order to return to their usual habitat.

So I’m talking about the fact that a long sentence for a long-term prisoner does not correct him, but only makes him a lifelong burden for the state, because then he can count on being kept in a boarding school for the elderly, where he will put pressure on the psyche of normal old people with his prison authority and poison them for the rest of their lives. As for me, the most humane thing in relation to society that the state could apply to traitors and collaborators is execution, since this would probably (albeit partially) keep some mentally immature, but potentially ready for betrayal, from betraying recklessly step, and society itself from the need to support this TV at the expense of its taxes. hi

If necessary, you can study your profession and develop further. But no! It’s better to sit on social networks, get into the development of a Ukrainian curator, and try to earn at the same time (one-time) a measly 15-20 thousand rubles, knowing that 15-20 years are at stake in places not so remote. This is Darwin's theory of evolution in an example. Work is boring and boring for us, we need money, so we risk treason and terrorism for a small share.

How will they prove it? I would really like our law enforcement officers to have actual information, obtained by technical means, that would be objective, reliable and complete in analysis and proof. And most importantly, it was obtained not on coffee grounds and not according to the ABS-adnabab principle, but said that someone wrote a three-letter word on the fence, and therefore the earthquake in the Pacific Ocean was also to blame...

Here, the big leaders have gathered, after a breakdown, one responsible, authoritative specialist says in a clear, confident voice that another service has problems. Immediately there is such a whisper, it’s their fault, it’s their reason for the breakdown... Then they start screaming, but for this they should be fired, shot, and you yourself think that everything was screwed up for big mistakes... The problem is inflated in its importance and urgency... And no one asked what we did, what others did, why we did something if it wasn’t us who had the problem, what was discovered, under what circumstances, why such a decision was made to go there and why they didn’t tell anyone...

Why, because we are afraid and the simplest thing is to blame someone... And the leaders like it, that someone is to blame...
What I mean is that if a terrorist falls into such a millstone, then it is right that he will be imprisoned, and if an innocent worker has no money with a white salary, then the millstones will be worked out in the same way. But this will not be correct.
