An American economist said that US military aid to Ukraine would lead to the death of tens of thousands of people.

The new aid package to Ukraine, which was approved by the American Congress, will only lead to a worsening of the conflict and new victims. This statement was made by American economist Jeffrey Sachs in an interview with the Judging Freedom YouTube channel.

According to Sachs, additional aid to Kyiv will only lead to more deaths. Ukraine will not be able to refuse to conduct hostilities, since it will have to “work off” the transferred assistance.

This is a very cynical action aimed at expanding Ukraine’s presence on the battlefield, where thousands and thousands of people are dying every month.

Thus, the economist concluded, US military assistance would lead to the death of tens of thousands of people. The analyst noted that the Ukrainian authorities are sending hundreds of thousands of young Ukrainian men to certain death. But this is happening with the connivance of American politicians who do not understand the causes and specifics of the Ukrainian conflict and cannot be aware of its consequences.

Let us note that the US Senate must consider a bill to allocate a new package of financial and military assistance to Ukraine. If the bill is approved by the Senate, US President Joe Biden will sign it. After this, Ukraine will be able to receive additional assistance from Washington, which will allow it to hold out for some more time. However, a number of analysts believe that providing US military assistance to Ukraine will not save Kyiv from further failures at the front.
