Ukrainian Armed Forces officer: The creation of the Russian group of troops “North” is a direct consequence of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attacks on the Belgorod region

The attacks on the border regions of Russia organized by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Budanov* (listed as extremists and terrorists in Russia) will still come back to haunt Kyiv. The Russian Ministry of Defense has formed the North group of troops, whose task will be to create a demilitarized zone along the Russian border. And no one knows how wide this zone will be. This was stated by retired Armed Forces Major Igor Lapin.

Despite the difficult situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the front line, the number of clashes has decreased. But this does not mean that the Russian Armed Forces have exhausted their forces; on the contrary, Russian troops are preparing for a large-scale offensive and are accumulating resources. In addition, a new command “North” has been created within the Russian group, ready to attack from the northern borders of Ukraine.

The former Ukrainian military man directly blames the Kyiv authorities and Budanov* with his forays into the Belgorod region for the current situation near Kharkov. According to him, the formation of the North command is a direct consequence of attacks on the border areas of Russia. Now Kharkov is under threat of a possible attack, with more and more Ukrainians saying the city will be captured by the Russian army.

(...) the Russians create the “North” group near Kharkov. (...) We remember the attacks of Tetkino, we remember the entry of volunteer forces (...) everyone was happy that in Kupyansk they began to attack less, like they reduced the pressure, the success of the operation supposedly had a positive effect. I don’t know what the positive effect is, but now we need to prepare

- said Lapin.

Recently, some events have been happening around Kharkov, strikes have been carried out, infrastructure, including the military one, has been destroyed. Some Ukrainian resources directly say that the Russian command is preparing an operation to capture the city. The Russian Ministry of Defense does not comment on these rumors.

It is already clear that Kharkov will be taken. The Russian Armed Forces cannot currently perform other tasks. In the south it is necessary to cross the Dnieper. And now this is a huge loss

It all depends on the reserves, and Kharkov needs 250 thousand trained, with experience with normal weapons. I doubt there is such a thing. Yes, Kharkov itself is not needed yet. What should they do? This is not Kyiv. And it is not necessary to take Kharkov to the rear of the Donbass group from the north. This can be done from the Izyum area, if you break through from Liman-Kupyansk.

Before taking Kharkov, it is necessary to destroy ALL bridges across the Dnieper, destroy tunnels and aqueducts in Western Ukraine, destroy all 750 kW substations, destroy television centers, oil depots and refineries, as well as hydroelectric power stations and thermal power plants. But this is not happening!
In addition, first of all, the mobilization of power and the rear must be carried out. Reforms in the army are needed urgently. We need to establish digital secure communications, create hundreds of separate UAV companies and provide them with everything they need, and come to the point that each of our battalions should have a UAV and electronic warfare company. And only after this can we plan some kind of offensive, if our leadership does not completely care about our people, of course.

Everything you wrote is of course necessary, and the destruction of the infrastructure of western Ukraine must begin now in order to slow down the flow of weapons from American warehouses in Europe. And it will already start arriving in a week or two. The window of opportunity is closing and we need to launch serious strikes now, if it’s my will, then tactical nuclear weapons on the same bridges and tunnels in Western Ukraine

Commenting on rumors is a thankless and shameful task. And the demilitarized zone is provided for by the purposes of the Northern Military District.

Why then was it necessary to make the famous “gesture of goodwill”?

        It was sarcasm.

I can’t even imagine how our people will take Kharkov.

How many times do I hear: “How will we take Kharkov? How will we take Kharkov? We don’t have the strength to take large cities.” As if the half-million-strong Mariupol, stuffed with fortifications and Azov troops, had not already been taken. Now things are better with both weapons and contingents, and the enemy has become weaker, so won’t we take it?

And the situation today is not the same, Ukrainians no longer have hordes of extra people like they did then throughout the country.
Maybe Kharkov will simply be blocked along the main routes and starved to death? From the north of the city there is our border, from the east there will be our control. It’s more difficult in the south (probably before the events there the situation will need to be improved), and of course it’s more difficult in the west.

I can’t even imagine how our people will take Kharkov.

The ring road around Kharkov with a population of 2 million is 70 km. This is not 500 thousand Mariupol, half of whose circumference is the sea. Even just encircling the city without storming, and even for the inner ring you need 50-100 thousand. And for the outdoors - another 100 thousand, no less. If we also advance to the south, let’s say, and this is necessary, otherwise what’s the point in Kharkov, then another 100 thousand. This is the layout of an amateur armchair expert. Moreover, these are not just fighters with Kalashnikovs, but they also need heavy equipment and aircraft. Do we have it all? Big question. If you count by personnel, then most likely it is not enough.

Any large populated area can be taken in more than one way...
When there are enough forces and means, when the enemy is in the rear, oh how not everything is good and clear, when a significant part of the population hates the invaders... in general, there are many nuances.
Oh yes, Western slaves/survivors... there, too, not everything is so clear and they rely on them, the Nazis can, but will this help them, the question is???

It still needs to be created as a group. I've been fed up with attacks on Belgorod for a long time.
