French politician: This year Russia expects one of the highest rates of economic growth
French politician Florian Philippot, who heads the Patriots party, which advocates for France to leave the European Union, said that European countries are only harming themselves with anti-Russian sanctions. As for Russia, Filippo noted that it is experiencing unprecedented economic growth, which was observed last year, and this year will be even stronger.
- the politician wrote on his page on the X network (formerly Twitter - blocked in Russia).
According to Filippo, in 2024, Russia is expected to have one of the highest economic growth rates in the world, five times higher than France.
The leader of the Patriots party sarcastically called for congratulations to the French Minister of Economy Bruno Le Maire, who promised to “bring the Russian economy to its knees,” and the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who, as Filippo noted, became a champion by adopting 13 packages of anti-Russian sanctions.
Let us recall that in January of this year, Vladimir Putin, meeting with entrepreneurs in the Far East, said that Russia had taken first place in Europe in terms of economic volume, surpassing Germany. He noted that this is an amazing result against the backdrop of the sanctions that are “strangling” the country from all sides.
