There is no digital television signal in Kharkov and nearby settlements after the fall of the tower
In Kharkov and nearby settlements, after the destruction of the television tower, there is still no digital television signal.
According to the Ukrainian governor of the region, Oleg Sinegubov, appointed by Kiev, mobile communications, cable television and the Internet are currently working in the city.
However, turning off the digital television signal was not a priority goal of the strike on the Kharkov television tower. The tower was used by militants of the Kyiv regime to provide communications, for which powerful repeaters were installed on it.
In addition, an optical reconnaissance system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is a complex of video cameras integrated with a neural network, could have been installed on the destroyed television tower. Thanks to this system, the enemy had the ability to quickly determine the location of Russian artillery.
The destroyed tower was also used to adjust attacks drones along the border territories of Russia, as well as for detecting and tracking Russian missiles and drones.
The destruction of the tower significantly limits the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, creating a “blind zone” in their defense system, which in the future will significantly facilitate the task of liberating Kharkov for the Russian Armed Forces. Modern Ukraine is very limited in its technical capabilities and is unlikely to be able to quickly restore a facility built in the early 80s of the last century under a more developed civilization.
