There is no digital television signal in Kharkov and nearby settlements after the fall of the tower

In Kharkov and nearby settlements, after the destruction of the television tower, there is still no digital television signal.

According to the Ukrainian governor of the region, Oleg Sinegubov, appointed by Kiev, mobile communications, cable television and the Internet are currently working in the city.

However, turning off the digital television signal was not a priority goal of the strike on the Kharkov television tower. The tower was used by militants of the Kyiv regime to provide communications, for which powerful repeaters were installed on it.

In addition, an optical reconnaissance system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is a complex of video cameras integrated with a neural network, could have been installed on the destroyed television tower. Thanks to this system, the enemy had the ability to quickly determine the location of Russian artillery.

The destroyed tower was also used to adjust attacks drones along the border territories of Russia, as well as for detecting and tracking Russian missiles and drones.

The destruction of the tower significantly limits the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, creating a “blind zone” in their defense system, which in the future will significantly facilitate the task of liberating Kharkov for the Russian Armed Forces. Modern Ukraine is very limited in its technical capabilities and is unlikely to be able to quickly restore a facility built in the early 80s of the last century under a more developed civilization.

Great, why is Kueva still intact? Are we waiting for an attack on the Crimean bridge to give a “symmetrical response”?

In Kyiv, a TV tower may fall on residential areas. That's why they probably don't touch her.

Exactly... and there were also winter months, humanitarian considerations, etc. But he will fly to us without reflection, using the money received by the pig farm. It’s easier for us to accept all this than to even recognize Banderstat as a terrorist.

There are at most a dozen houses within a radius of 500 meters. Even if a tower less than 400 meters high falls entirely, like a tree, nothing bad will happen.
The reason for its preservation is something else. In what exactly, for me, other than our “humanism,” it is unknown.

In other words, why should we care? And if everything is done as we usually do, then yes, the reason for “tower saving” is significant. As well as “bridge saving”, “TES saving” and other things that are incomprehensible to us, far from “Kremlin humanism”.

Still, TV towers are unique and complex objects.
Maybe it’s better to snipe the transmitters than to take down...
I write this because I am a builder.

I'm also a builder. And in Donbass I no longer just have people working as volunteers - I have opened a permanent production site. Sooner or later, you see, both Kyiv and Odessa will have to be restored.
            .
And about the towers... After the war, we still have to restore what once was Ukraine. And against the backdrop of the upcoming volume of work, the towers are, in general, not such grandiose objects.

If something is to be preserved with a view to future use, then bridges, and the energy system, and bunkers, and military warehouses - all this should be preserved and protected, or what? And let it work against us now?

They say it is painted every seven years. The process takes one and a half years.
When I saw her for the first time, I remembered how in the 80s I rode along the Volga on a ship built pre-war, in the 30s. Taking into account the fact that it was probably painted every year for the season, there was an obsessive feeling that it was not made of metal, but cast from paint on a wire frame.

And to demolish it at the root with a second blow?, the cellular equipment was not damaged, so it must be added that everyone would become blind and deaf. And our old people will be bred less. In Kharkov, there are thousands of companies of telephone scammers scamming gullible citizens, and this business has been put on stream there.

Demolish these TV towers along with cellular communications throughout the country. And zombies may turn back into people... At airports, too, the main thing is not the runway, but the control tower with radars and communications with pilots.

It turned out interesting. Yesterday, when they were launching a point on Belgorod, ours knocked down this tower with a sniper strike. I can imagine the reaction of their rocket scientists. The difference, judging by information from the media, is a couple of minutes. And what is not at the root is not yet evening.

The message about digital TV is a little confusing...
Let me explain: Digital TV can be broadcast both via a radio channel (DVB set-top box?), and simply via cable from IP/TV-Internet providers. In other words, the fall of the tower will not in any way affect the reception of the TV signal (IPTV traffic) of Tyrnet users. They won't even notice. I myself have not used a TV antenna for at least 10 years, including digital broadcasting, and I don’t even physically have one in my apartments. Everything is via a tyrnet cable.
The meaning of the destruction of the tower may be different: the destruction of coverage zone(s) (spots) / redundancy schemes for cellular / wireline communications. The exhaust is quite normal. And it is quite expected that cellular networks will be overloaded, even to the point of the banal “both are out of network coverage.”
The destruction of a tower may well affect the stability of the wired communication network(s). It all depends on the structure and organization of communication networks in the city.

Many people only use terrestrial TV (it doesn’t matter whether it’s digital or analogue). IPTV set-top boxes are mainly used by young people/proficient people, or people who received them from more active children/relatives.

Let me give you a hint: “someone” is still trading with “someone”. And at the same time everyone is happy, because... Absolutely everything is fastened by quite sensible grannies. And there is plenty of evidence of this in the same mega-official media. Therefore, a “surviving tower” is a drop in the ocean, the factor in size is less than the error.
