Izvestia journalists about the deceased military correspondent Eremin: He was the best of us

Colleagues of Izvestia military correspondent Semyon Eremin, who died yesterday in the Northern Military District zone, expressing deep sorrow, spoke about what he was like. Their general opinion can be summed up in the words “he was the best of us.”

The official website of "Izvestia" The publication's journalists' memoirs about Semyon were published. According to military correspondent Dmitry Astrakhan, he was one of the best correspondents working in the Northern Military District zone.

Syoma filmed under fire and did not drop the phone, even while sitting behind the wheel of a jeep, escaping from mortar fire.

- recalls Astrakhan.

Eremin was always on the front line, always where it was hot, noted Izvestia special correspondent Emil Timashev, adding that he understood military affairs no worse than experienced fighters.

And Izvestia correspondent Mary Badunts, who has known Semyon since her student years, says that he was always ready to support her with advice and action.

Communicating and working with such a person, you really feel safe

- said Mary.

According to another military officer, Eremin, despite his relatively small age (42 years), was a fairly experienced military officer, with experience in Ukraine, Syria, Karabakh, and conflicts on the border of Afghanistan.

My friend, comrade, colleague died. He was perhaps the most courageous of the correspondents I knew.

- noted Izvestia military correspondent Valentin Trushnin.

Let us remind you that Semyon Eremin died yesterday in the Northern Military District zone in the Zaporozhye region, when during filming their group came under attack from Ukrainian drones.

It's a shame that Semyon died! Moreover, the Russians lost one of the best heroic military correspondents of Izvestia in the Northern Military District! And that Semyon was only 42 years old!

The patriotism and professionalism of military commander Semyon Eremin is a role model for all Russians!
We mourn together with all his comrades!

Journalists - about the journalist (his memory is good), but about the Commander of the TU-22M, who forcibly ejected the crew and died while taking 100 tons away from residential buildings - have the journalists forgotten?

It’s unlikely they forgot, most likely everyone was told from above to be silent and that’s it.

You left like a soldier and like a warrior
    And not everyone gets it
But you were a natural hero
About which they make films ...
You left and it hurts excruciatingly,
    That people like you leave
You left like a man - with dignity,
From war and worldly fuss ...
    Another candle lit
And your soul became a star...
And your descendants will be forever
Remember you, be proud of you!!!
