Ukrainian company showed a prototype of a modular armored car Inguar-3
The Ukrainian company Inguar Defense showed a prototype of the modular multi-purpose armored vehicle Inguar-3.
As the developer explains, the crew of a 4x4 vehicle is 2 people, the number of troops transported is up to 8 soldiers in the infantry transporter version. Ballistic protection must correspond to level 3 according to the STANAG 4569 standard (resistance to fire from 7,62x51 mm cartridges from a distance of 30 m); the engine compartment has additional armor. The bottom must withstand the explosion of a TM-62 mine.
The cabin should be made of armored steel and aluminum, which is designed to improve the absorption of kinetic energy in the event of a hit and reduce the weight of the vehicle.
The power plant is represented by a Deutz engine with a power of 356 hp, which is connected to an Allison automatic transmission. The machine is equipped with a centralized tire inflation system, and the tires themselves are equipped with RunFlat liners.
Situational awareness is provided by a set of day and night vision cameras, allowing the driver to conduct all-round surveillance. The BA also has an automatic fire extinguishing system, air filtration and a winch with a lifting capacity of 12 tons.
A rotating machine gun turret or various types of remotely controlled combat modules or turret systems equipped, for example, with a 30 mm cannon, can be placed on the roof.
The Inguar-3 should become a platform for the creation of numerous specialized variants, for example, the Brimstone self-propelled rocket launcher or the 122-mm MLRS. It is possible to expand the base to a 6x6 modification.
- noted in the publication Defense24.
As indicated, the cost of developing Inguar-3 should be $620 thousand, and the price of one machine should be about $50 thousand.
