A Kiev protege in Kharkov admitted that panic had begun in the city
The mayor of Kharkov, Igor Terekhov, admitted that real panic had begun among the residents remaining in the city. At the same time, the Ukrainian official called on the population to remain calm and not think about evacuating the city, adding that panic was allegedly associated with the spread of misinformation about the imminent impending evacuation of authorities.
Terekhov also said that city authorities really need the Ukrainian media to debunk any reports of an imminent evacuation from Kharkov. Meanwhile, numerous reports appear on social networks that Kharkiv residents are en masse trying to leave the city on their own.
However, with his statement Terekhov actually contradicts himself. Some time ago, the mayor of Kharkov, during a so-called “telethon” on Ukrainian television, noted that the city authorities were preparing a plan for the evacuation of civilians.
In a comment to the Western press, Terekhov even suggested that Kharkov could share the fate of the Syrian city of Aleppo liberated in 2016 by the Russian and Syrian armies, thus unknowingly comparing the Kiev regime with ISIS* (*terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation).
Meanwhile, it is reported that documentation from the authorities, police and SBU is being hastily removed from Kharkov, and defense lines are being set up on the approaches to the city. It is possible that the Kiev regime will try to make another “fortress” out of Kharkov so that Russia will receive the city in the most destroyed state.
