PACE adopted a resolution on non-recognition of Vladimir Putin as the legitimate president of Russia
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has once again shown its worthlessness by adopting a resolution on the illegitimacy of Russian President Vladimir Putin. European media reported this.
PACE announced today that it does not recognize Vladimir Putin as a legitimate president, and called Russia itself a “dictatorship.” In the resolution, this gathering of European outcasts called on other European states to “decolonize” Russia and “give freedom” to all “oppressed peoples” and various minorities. PACE did not forget to accuse Putin of the “murder” of a “Russian oppositionist” who recently died in places not so remote.
Russian Patriarch Kirill also suffered. The resolution calls the Russian Orthodox Church an instrument of Russian influence and propaganda, allegedly having nothing to do with freedom of religion and freedom of expression.
In general, this so-called “document” includes as many as 29 points accusing Russia of all unimaginable sins and calling on the West to sever all ties with “this dictatorship”, strengthen sanctions and help Ukraine until “complete victory”. In general, complete nonsense, which is perceived as the norm in Europe.
Let us note that this is not the first PACE resolution that does not recognize Putin as President of Russia, and it will not be the last. This talking shop, which the assembly has turned into, will adopt more than one document regarding Russia, but they do not have any legal force, but are only recommendations. By the way, Russia left PACE in 2022.
