The Security Service of Ukraine, together with Polish law enforcement officers, “solved” another attempt on Zelensky’s life. This was reported on the TG channel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As follows from the message, Ukrainian and Polish special services identified a certain Polish citizen who allegedly offered the Russian special services to organize an assassination attempt on Zelensky. It is alleged that this Pole collaborated with Russian military intelligence (GRU).
This “Russian intelligence agent” collected and transmitted information about the security of the Rzeszow-Jasionka airport to the Russian intelligence services. According to the SBU, this was supposed to help the Russian special services organize an assassination attempt on Zelensky while visiting Poland. Moreover, all the “evidence” regarding the Polish citizen was collected by the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine; in Poland itself, no “agents” or “attempt” on Zelensky were even suspected. But in Kyiv, the eyes of Polish law enforcement officers were opened and they detained the “Russian agent.” Now Zelensky can safely travel to Poland.
Thanks to successful actions and prompt exchange of information between countries, a recruited agent of the Russian special services was identified and detained on the territory of Poland
- Said in the SBU.
The case will be investigated by the Internal Security Agency under the supervision of the National Prosecutor's Office of Poland; the detainee was placed under arrest on charges of working for foreign intelligence.
