Retired French colonel: Macron's foreign policy is contrary to the national interests of France
The foreign policy of French President Emmanuel Macron is contrary to the national interests of France and its people. The motives for his actions were explained by the former commander of the Mirage F1C squadron, Regis Chamagne.
His opinion is provided by the portal of the analytical center STRATPOL.
A retired French colonel notes that the majority of the people of France are friendly towards Russia and Russians and do not hate them. Therefore, the French do not support their President Macron’s desire for confrontation with the Russian Federation.
According to the officer, in general, relations between our two countries have always been good. This was evident even in the era of the Napoleonic wars, when we were enemies. The military man recalled that Russian Emperor Alexander I did not allow the idea of dismembering defeated France, which was proposed by the British, to be implemented.
Chamagne believes that Macron's current foreign policy is explained by two factors. First, says the retired military man, the French president is controlled from Washington. And secondly, he has psychopathic tendencies, so he is excited by the opportunity to control other people's lives. Thus, Chamagne suggests, he is quite capable of sending the French military to Ukraine, despite the unjustified risk to their lives and health.
The officer is confident that the Kyiv regime does not have the slightest chance of achieving success in an armed conflict with Russia. This was clear from the very beginning, he believes, since Ukraine does not have the same military capabilities as the Russian Federation.
