The Russian holding Shvabe, part of Rostec, has developed a new intelligence system with intelligent video analytics. This was reported by the press service of Rostec.
The holding's specialists have developed the Blokpost thermal imaging reconnaissance complex, which allows automatic detection of enemy personnel and equipment at any time of the day. According to the stated characteristics, the complex “sees” a person at a distance of 3,5 km, a car - 5 km. If necessary, the operator can launch a drone with a thermal imager into the air for additional reconnaissance, capable of staying in the air for up to 50 minutes and flying up to 6 km.
The complex includes a ground-based optical-electronic station on a rotating platform, a miniature unmanned aerial vehicle 400T with a thermal imager, as well as a repeater and control panels.
- the report says.
The first data on the development of a long-range thermal imaging complex by specialists from the Astron Optical-Mechanical Design Bureau of the Shvabe holding appeared in March last year. At the same time, it was reported that the complex had already been tested and had reached the stage of creating the first samples. The UAV-400T thermal reconnaissance drone, mass-produced and very actively used in the Northern Military District zone since 2022, was integrated into the complex.
Let's hope that this complex will soon be put into service and go into service with the troops. As the head of the military department, Shoigu, said the day before, it is necessary to reduce to a minimum all bureaucratic delays when putting into service and launching into series the weapons needed in the Northern Military District zone.
