The Russian Shvabe holding has developed the Blokpost long-range thermal imaging complex

The Russian holding Shvabe, part of Rostec, has developed a new intelligence system with intelligent video analytics. This was reported by the press service of Rostec.

The holding's specialists have developed the Blokpost thermal imaging reconnaissance complex, which allows automatic detection of enemy personnel and equipment at any time of the day. According to the stated characteristics, the complex “sees” a person at a distance of 3,5 km, a car - 5 km. If necessary, the operator can launch a drone with a thermal imager into the air for additional reconnaissance, capable of staying in the air for up to 50 minutes and flying up to 6 km.

The complex includes a ground-based optical-electronic station on a rotating platform, a miniature unmanned aerial vehicle 400T with a thermal imager, as well as a repeater and control panels.

- the report says.

The first data on the development of a long-range thermal imaging complex by specialists from the Astron Optical-Mechanical Design Bureau of the Shvabe holding appeared in March last year. At the same time, it was reported that the complex had already been tested and had reached the stage of creating the first samples. The UAV-400T thermal reconnaissance drone, mass-produced and very actively used in the Northern Military District zone since 2022, was integrated into the complex.

Let's hope that this complex will soon be put into service and go into service with the troops. As the head of the military department, Shoigu, said the day before, it is necessary to reduce to a minimum all bureaucratic delays when putting into service and launching into series the weapons needed in the Northern Military District zone.

It is necessary to include the Lancets in the complex in order to immediately destroy a detected target or other kamikaze drones.

Everything was always fine with ingenuity in Russia... How many new inventions we gave the world, and how many of them were simply blatantly stolen from the same Soviet magazine "Young Technician"... Well, they didn’t know and didn’t patent... But It’s always been worse with implementation... We need to go through a bunch of authorities and agree with each one, and each one cuts something, seemingly out of savings, proposes to simplify something, they say, it’s not worth the fat... But times change, maybe the attitude towards the introduction of something new will also change...???

Yeah. In the Japanese city of Sasebo, a monument to the Soviet magazine “Science and Life” was unveiled, articles from which became the basis of the Japanese economic miracle. The ceremony was attended by officials and representatives of 20 leading companies in the country, including Sony, Mazda, Toyota and Mitsubishi.

Your sarcasm is inappropriate in this case. This is just a surname, but not Russian, and now why give up everything that is not Russian? And the holding works and works well.

I have a simple question: if this is a Russian holding, then what Chubais has a purely German name? Shouldn't the relevant authorities check whether this "Shvabe" corresponds to the name - Russian?

The history of the creation of the Shvabe Holding begins back in 1837. It was then that innovative entrepreneur Fyodor Shvabe opened a trading company and workshop for the sale and manufacture of optical instruments in Moscow

Don’t you think that the surname Shvabe somehow doesn’t closely match the Russian one? Sergey, I’m just wondering, what did this same holding company do during the Great Patriotic War? If it is ours, domestic, then, I suppose, it produced defense products? Or maybe there was no Schwabe holding in the USSR, and after the collapse of the country it was suddenly revived?..

Well, you bent, besides topware, do you know how to use the Internet? Yandex is there, although it is also no longer Russian, I don’t suggest Google. Now it’s clear why you can’t find information about Schwabe.

I prefer information from reliable sources. I’ll ask the same question as the previous interlocutor: what products did the Schwabe holding produce during the Great Patriotic War? Why didn’t this holding produce anything in the USSR, why didn’t they hear anything about it? Was it top secret?..

On August 31, 1917, JSC “F. Shvabe" was transformed into JSC "Geophysics". The company's fixed capital amounted to 2 rubles. The safety margin of JSC Geophysics and skillful management of the enterprise allowed the company to survive the difficult revolutionary times. At the end of 500, the enterprise was nationalized, and the production of geodetic instruments and microscopes became the main specialization of the plant.

Well, what does Shvabe have to do with it if it ceased to exist in 1917? Geophysics is not Schwabe. Geophysics - Geophysics. And the fact that Geophysics was transformed from Shvabe’s enterprise does not mean that at least something from Shvabe was preserved there.
I conclude: “Shvabe” was formed after the collapse of the USSR. It is possible, and most likely, this was the case, as a result of “privatization” and the appropriation of the Shvabe brand. I think that the shareholders there, at least at the initial stage, were 70 percent foreign. Maybe there still is. In the 90s, foreigners gladly stole the legacy of Soviet enterprises and institutions. But that's another story. And “Shvabe” ended in 1917, on August 31. And the current one has nothing to do with that “Schvabe”, and cannot have one.

They let me go everywhere. But Wiki is, if anything, a source that does not particularly deserve the title of accurate and infallible, since everyone could write there whatever came into their head.
However, I am not going to refute the data. I just want to note that Shvabe ceased to exist in 1917. Well, I’m sure that not a single descendant of Fyodor Shvabe is visible, either in the company’s management or among the shareholders. And companies that were originally created as family ones should not, in my opinion, exist after the death or departure of the owners of the title surname.

What then - disband them on benches? And today’s name is most likely a whim of one of the founders, whose ancestors worked there.
But these are formalities. The bottom line is the share of foreign capital in all this. I suspect that it is considerable, but with full control from the state share. Otherwise, they would not be able to produce such products now. Sometimes it seems to me that those notorious 300 lard in gold were deliberately left behind the cordon before the start in February 2022. They say - come on, dear partners, welcome! And we, with full legal right, will throw you out of all the cracks where you managed to get into in the “holy nineties”. The partners crumple, kick their legs, but don’t want to crawl out of the cracks. They are afraid to sell themselves cheap. This applies not only to ROSTEC, but also to energy, metallurgy, and much more.

This is good. How much does it cost? And how with a consumable in the form of a drone. Judging by the minutes and range of the DJI Mavic 3. Repainted naturally. bully Well, off the top of my head, a lyama and a half all together. Not more. A company of motorized rifles needs at least a couple. At the checkpoint, it is generally necessary to introduce standard weapons. If only they knew how much I missed such a device. What's on SVO. What's in Nagorno-Karabakh? I'd love to test it.

This complex consists of 4 cameras on tripods and a drone. The weight of the equipment is not indicated, nor is the price. Initially made for special services.
