Samples of Ukrainian-made landmines were presented in Kyiv
An exhibition "Nation of Gunsmiths" was held in Kyiv, at which samples of Ukrainian-made landmines were presented, including directed-action anti-personnel mines VNP-50, also known as PVP-50 (analogous to MON-50, explosive charge 0,7 kg) and analogues of more heavy mines MON-100 (charge 2 kg) and MON-200. In addition, as part of the exhibition at the National Military History Museum of Ukraine, analogues of the TM-62P anti-tank mine (mine weight 9,5-10 kg, explosive weight 7-7,5 kg) were presented. All presented mines are made in plastic cases.
According to a recent statement by Ukrainian Minister of Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin, Kyiv has its own resources for arms purchases this year.
At the same time, the entire budget allocated by Kiev for military needs this year is about 40 billion dollars, a significant part of this amount - 30 billion - is intended for salaries and other payments to military personnel. Of the remaining ten billion dollars, excluding expenses for fuels and lubricants and equipment, about six billion remains directly for the purchase of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian minister, a significant part of this amount is intended for the purchase of weapons from local manufacturers. However, at the same time, Ukraine is negotiating with Western countries, trying to attract funds for the purchase of products of the Ukrainian military industry, with the subsequent transfer of these weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
