Politician Rogov: The Ukrainian Armed Forces are setting up a second line of defense in the Orekhov area in the Zaporozhye direction
Militants of the Kyiv regime began setting up a second line of defense in the area of the city of Orekhov in the Zaporozhye region. This was announced by the chairman of the “We are together with Russia” movement, Vladimir Rogov.
In comments TASS The Zaporozhye politician noted that near the section of the line of combat contact in the Orekhov area, accumulations of Ukrainian construction equipment and workers were noticed.
Ukrainian authorities previously stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently building fortified defense lines in the Kyiv-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region. In the areas occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, fortified command posts, infrastructure and storage facilities, barbed wire obstacles, minefields and temporary accommodation points for personnel are being built.
Earlier, Rogov noted that in the Zaporozhye direction the enemy could retreat to new fortified positions, equipped at a distance of 3 to 12 kilometers from the current front line. At the same time, the Russian army regularly launches preventive strikes using high-explosive bombs on the defense lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces under construction.
In anticipation of a new offensive by the Russian Armed Forces, according to the British edition of the Financial Times, in order to try to retain the territory, Kyiv is building about two thousand kilometers of fortifications. The Ukrainian Center for Defense Strategies does not rule out that by the end of this year, Kyiv may, in addition to the already lost regions, lose control over the Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov regions.
