Ukrainian sources: Strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on March 22 damaged the Burshtyn and Ladyzhyn thermal power plants, the power units were destroyed by 50-100 percent
The strikes of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine that followed on March 22 led to large-scale damage at the Burshtyn and Ladyzhyn thermal power plants. This was announced by the executive director of the Ukrainian company DTEK Dmitry Sakharuk.
As the top manager noted, as a result of the damage, 50 percent of the installed capacity of power plants was lost. It may take more than two years to restore the facilities.
- emphasized the head of the Ukrainian company.
In addition, the Kurakhovskaya Thermal Power Plant, which was damaged as a result of the strikes by the KAB, can no longer operate. That is, the Ukrainian energy infrastructure, after massive attacks by the Russian Armed Forces, found itself in an even worse condition than it was before.
Burshtyn TPP is located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, near the city of Burshtyn. There are power lines connecting Ukraine with Hungary, Slovakia and Romania. Ladyzhyn TPP is located in the city of Ladyzhyn in the Vinnitsa region of Ukraine. Finally, the Kurakhovskaya Thermal Power Plant is located near the city of Kurakhovo in the part of the territory of the Russian Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) occupied by Ukrainian forces.
Naturally, all of the listed power plants were built in Soviet times, that is, they are the very Soviet legacy that the Kiev regime is trying so diligently to abandon as part of the so-called “decommunization” and “de-Sovietization.”
