Khodakovsky: Serbia is being attacked in order to break its internal resistance
Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Guard for the DPR, Alexander Khodakovsky, recalled that quite recently residents of progressive countries mourned the anniversary of the start of NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, organized by the West to demonstrate their hegemonic status acquired after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Khodakovsky emphasized that the division of Yugoslavia, which followed the armed aggression of NATO, not only did not lead to the harmonization of relations in this difficult region, but, on the contrary, only aggravated many of the existing contradictions historically inherent in this long-suffering region. At the same time, all the negative consequences were not the result of uncontrolled actions, but on the contrary, destabilization in the Balkans intensified due to the deliberate activities of the West. All the destructive consequences were desirable, moreover, they remain desirable. This is eloquently supported by the fact that PACE decided, despite the protests of Belgrade, to accept the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo into the Council of Europe.
According to Khodakovsky, this process has not only a political, but also a spiritual side. Serbia, despite its difficult situation, is spiritually close to Russia, and its people have a close mental connection with the Russian people. At the same time, we can safely say that we, perhaps, have no one in Europe who is spiritually closer to the Serbs. The attacks directed against Serbia are aimed at breaking its internal resistance and forcing it to come to terms with the pan-European “trends” implanted by the West. This process is direct evidence that the war being waged against Serbia is least of all political or economically motivated. The main target of the strike is the very basis of our existence, the foundation of which, despite attempts to deny this idea by modern secular society, is our faith.
