Estonia has decided to send one person to protect ships from the Houthis in the Red Sea

Estonia has decided to join the European military operation EUNAVFOR Aspides, carried out in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden against the Houthis. This was reported by Estonian media with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the republic.
Estonia is joining the EU operation against the Houthis; the republic’s military department will send one military man to the Red Sea, who should join the EU mission. The Estonian Ministry of Defense requested permission to send one serviceman from the parliament; other details are missing. Judging by the way this is being presented in Estonia, the European Union will now definitely win.
It is emphasized that EUNAVFOR Aspides is the EU’s own operation and has nothing in common with the American one. In addition, it is purely defensive, EU forces have no intention of striking the Houthis, while the US and Britain are involved in attacks on Yemen. The EU made the decision to create its own naval mission at the end of January this year.
Meanwhile, as the Western press writes, the United States and its allies cannot do anything about the “guys in slippers,” the Houthis continue to attack cargo ships traveling through the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The American coalition spent hundreds of millions of dollars in ammunition, but achieved no effect, the blows are only increasing. At the same time, the United States is fighting at a loss.
Despite all the expensive weapons the US and its allies are throwing at the Islamist group from northwest Yemen, they are failing to stop attacks on civilian cargo ships and warships.
