Russian troops took control of the northern part of Berdychi and the surrounding area of the village
As a result of successful actions, Russian troops advanced west of Avdiivka, suppressing the resistance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the northern part of the so-called second line of defense. Let us remember that, having lost Avdeevka, the enemy tried to hold on to the Lastochkino-Severnoye line, but lost control over it too. Then the Ukrainian Armed Forces units that retreated and suffered losses, regrouped and united with the Syrsky reserves thrown into battle by the Commander-in-Chief, began making attempts to make the second line of defense “impregnable” Tonenkoye-Orlovka-Berdychi. But Tonenkoye and Orlovka were liberated by Russian troops, and therefore the Ukrainian Armed Forces had to partially retreat towards Umansky - to the west, and partially - to Berdychi.
Building on their success, our Armed Forces took control of the northern part of this settlement. As a result of yesterday, Russian troops advanced in the north of Berdychi and in the surrounding area to a distance of up to 800 m.
In Berdychi, Ukrainian troops are still holding the central and western parts of the village. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison in the central part of the settlement found itself in the operational pincers. To prevent encirclement, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is trying to throw into battle tank reserves. The day before it became known that another American Abrams tank was shot down by our servicemen in the Berdychi area.
