An analogue of the S-400 is being created: a sketch of an Indian high-power radar for the Kusha air defense system has been published

The Indian Ministry of Defense is trying to form a defense in depth. Its main elements are the newly developed national missile systems MR-SAM and Akash, as well as the Israeli Spyder air defense systems. However, the crowning glory of air defense is the S-400 anti-aircraft system purchased from Russia, which protects the country at the farthest approaches thanks to its large range.

New Delhi intends to create its own analogue of this complex. The work is being carried out by DRDO [roughly equivalent to Rostec] under the LRSAM project, also referred to as Kusha, and is at an early stage. However, some details of the program have already become known.

As indicated in the IDRW publication, the developer leaked sketches, thanks to which an image of a mobile high-power HPR radar, designed to enhance the country's air defense capabilities, was published online. The radar weighs 30 tons, the antenna measures 10 by 6 meters. A vehicle with a carrying capacity of 60 tons and a travel speed of 20 km/h is used as a platform.

The country's air force, responsible for air defense, expects the operational deployment of the combat-ready Kusha system by 2028-2029. Its range should be about 350 km.

Our S-400 system was supplied to them. Now their analogue is on the way. Smart though.

The Hindus will definitely give it to the Armenians. Azerbaijani drones will be checked for lice. If Armenians have these attitudes, then.................................... will await them. ..........this sound needs to be listened to in an earphone, it’s a balm for my ears. The end is just fire!

      It was Khorop.

The weapons purchased in India arrived in Armenia in a faulty condition and their use was impossible. This was stated by the former Minister of Defense of Armenia Arshak Karapetyan.

This doesn’t stop them from buying more and more. The main supplier of weapons to Armenia now is India. Everything is sent through Iran. Yes, Muslim Iran is arming Christians, or rather helping, against other Muslims. This is being watched very carefully in Azerbaijan. The question is that Iran is making an enemy in the person of Azerbaijan, and those who are being helped want to join NATO and will be the first on the list through whose country Iran will be attacked. Unless, of course, Zangezur returns Azerbaijan, but the trouble is that Azerbaijan wants Iran to be given stars or not. Interesting question!

After receiving our complexes, everyone tries. Let's see what they try.

Do the characteristics of a radar depend on the size of the antenna? - The Indians are on the right path laughing

With so many elephants in the country, the size of the antenna is no longer critical. wink We are northern people, mammoths, alas, have become extinct, we have to transport them with machinery... what

Not really. India is developing now, just like China once did.

Every day for the past two decades people have said that China is rapidly collapsing.
Every day for twenty years people say that India is growing fast.

There have already been repeated attempts to copy the S-300 and S-400 in different countries. Only it turns out not at all what we expected. The Chinese comrades were the first to try this. Apparently, there is some know-how. It's like Old Man Hottabych copied a telephone in a wonderful Soviet film. The phone was beautiful, but you couldn’t make calls on it.

This is precisely what China did well with the S-300 (HQ-9, -10, -15, -18). What they took as a basis was copied.

Oh, I have doubts about the competencies of Indians. They couldn’t even assemble the T-90 correctly from our kits, and they didn’t even bring their own Arjuns to combat readiness. The only thing that works normally for them is BrahMos, but this is a joint venture with the Russian Federation and there are many of our components and specialists there. Something tells me that the Indians themselves, without a joint venture with the Russian Federation, will not make an analogue of the S-400. The level of bullshit S-300s is easy; from the S-400 there can only be a range.

A tank, whatever one may say, is a product of increased complexity, but to get a license to produce AKs and then complain about problems with them... You have to try.

New Delhi intends to create its own analogue of this complex.

The dancers also threatened to create their own tank, they created it, they created it, but they bought the T-90...

Russia must 'ensure' one thing - Russian technology is not transferred to any third party country, through India.

If they exports Russian oil to western countries through refineries in India. They can also transfer, Russian technology to western countries, without the knowledge of India.

    Alert..Alert
Western companies based in US and UK are 'lifting' employees from Indian governments that are specialized in defense productions.

Example: Rolls Royce 'lifted' design engineers working in HAL (Hindustan Aeronauticals Limited).
Remember, HAL is responsible for assembling and repairing Sukhoi, MiG, Mi etc
