Ukrainian sources: For the first time, the Russian Aerospace Forces attacked an Ukrainian Armed Forces facility on the outskirts of Kharkov with aerial bombs with UMPB
The Russian Aerospace Forces struck one of the military installations on the northern outskirts of Kharkov for the first time, presumably using a FAB-250 with a universal combat planning module (UMPB). Previously, aerial bombs of this type were not used to hit targets within the city limits, but airstrikes using adjustable aerial bombs were recorded in surrounding populated areas.
Ukrainian sources report two powerful explosions in the area of the Cryotekhnika medical equipment enterprise, in the premises of which a temporary deployment point for militants of the Kyiv regime was allegedly set up. At the same time, the distance from the point of arrival of aerial bombs to the border with Russia is about 50 kilometers, and to the nearest LBS - about 100 km. It is unknown from which direction the blow was struck.
It is also assumed that guided bombs with UMPB D-30 SN were used to carry out the strikes. Previously, such a weapon was practically not used, but now cases of destruction of Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities in the near and middle zone from the line of combat contact by this weapon are increasingly being recorded.
As a warhead, the UMPB has a fairly powerful FAB-250 aerial bomb. The UMPB is equipped with a jet engine, which significantly increases the flight range compared to the UMPC. Presumably, the range of use of aerial bombs with this module can be from 50 to 70 kilometers.
The massive use of these high-precision and long-range aerial bombs could significantly facilitate the task of destroying Ukrainian army targets as part of a possible operation to liberate Kharkov.
