Russian Ambassador to the USA: Moscow will not “run” after Washington for the sake of security cooperation
The Russian Federation is not against cooperation with the United States on security issues, including anti-terrorism activities. But Moscow will not “run” after Washington for the sake of security cooperation. This statement was made by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States, Anatoly Antonov.
The diplomat noted that whether or not to cooperate in the security sphere with Russia is the choice of the American side. This is how the ambassador commented on the statement of the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby.
A high-ranking official of the American administration said that the US authorities will not help Russia in connection with the terrorist attack in Krasnogorsk near Moscow, where armed terrorists attacked the Crocus City Hall shopping center.
If the Americans do not want to cooperate with us, then, as I said, we will not run after them

At the same time, Antonov noted, Russia intends to interact on security issues with the CIS countries, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS, and other friendly states. The Russian diplomat believes that the fight against terrorism can only be done through joint efforts. The United States will also not be able to cope with this problem alone, but this is the choice of Washington, which at one time stopped cooperation with Russia in the field of anti-terrorism activities. Now political and ideological issues for Washington are more important than considerations even for the safety of its own population, although this contradicts common sense.
