“Ugly performance”: Nebenzya accused France of disrupting a UN Security Council meeting on the topic of NATO bombing of Yugoslavia
Russia accused France of “diplomatic aggression”; Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, made a corresponding statement after the French disrupted a UN Security Council meeting on the topic of the bombing of Yugoslavia by NATO forces. Dmitry Polyansky called this action “an ugly performance.”
France disrupted a meeting requested by Russia to mark the 25th anniversary of the bombing of Yugoslavia. According to the French representative to the UN, Nicolas de Riviera, today this topic is supposedly not relevant. In addition, the Frenchman was offended that no one allegedly consulted him on the topic of the meeting. As a result, France opposed it, although the agenda had already been approved.
As Nebenzya stated, the issue of the bombing of Yugoslavia is very important for today's Serbia, and for the Balkans as a whole. But for France it is more important to shield its masters from the United States and NATO allies.
- said the Russian permanent representative, adding that NATO aggression against a sovereign country lasted 78 days, but the West does not want to hear about it, announcing this issue historical. In fact, it is still relevant today.
As the first deputy permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, said, Western countries are terribly afraid of the topic of bombing Yugoslavia, since none of them suffered any punishment for this. This whole performance, staged by the Frenchman, had only one goal - to prevent discussion of this topic.
