Azerbaijan has denied accusations of supplying 82-mm mortar mines to Ukraine

Azerbaijan does not supply military products to Ukraine; all statements in this regard are disinformation with the aim of discrediting the authorities of the republic. This statement was made by the Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan.

Baku responded to the information that appeared about the alleged supply of 82-mm mines to Ukraine. The document from the Ukrainian court, which mentions this delivery, was posted on his TG channel by military expert Vladimir Pogosyan. The Ministry of Defense Industry of the Republic called this publication a fake, adding that this is not the first disinformation from Armenia. In fact, Azerbaijan does not supply military products to Ukraine.

In response to a media request on this matter, we declare that such information is completely “fake” and disinformation. Attempts to spread such false and untrue News have already been undertaken in Armenian Telegram channels

- said in a statement.

Meanwhile, according to information from Russian resources, at the end of December last year, the Kyiv Economic Court considered the claim of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense against the UkrSpetsExport enterprise. The essence of the claim is the delay in the delivery of ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns in the amount of 135 units produced by the “Azerbaijani Republic”. Delivery was carried out through third countries in disassembled form, possibly through Turkey. Information has also repeatedly surfaced about the alleged production of ammunition at Azerbaijani enterprises for Ukraine. Baku denies all accusations.

Is it really an 82 mm mortar in the photo, and not a 120 mm one?

Of course 120 mm. And in the criminal case, the conversation was about ZU-24/2 delivered through Turkey, and not about 82-mm mines.
And to be honest, there is nothing surprising in such deliveries, business, and nothing personal. Our “successful managers” managed to sell new Il-76s to Ukraine, after the start of the SVO...

Everything would be fine, but Azerbaijan does not produce the ZU-23-2. We ourselves need similar equipment to suppress UAVs and more..

They were supposed to supply them with almost 200 units of Zushkas through Turkey. Another “partner” in the CSTO...
And, besides, their citizens are fighting on the side of the Ukrainians!

One can put forward a conspiracy theory that Russia will not make a fuss in the official space based on the fact that some kind of ally, at least nominally, is needed in the Caucasus.

And when did Azerbaijan start producing Zushki? Has Vladimir Pogosyan clarified this detail? lol

    We've seen similar denials before:

In this case, it is almost certain that the Armenians are telling the truth and the Azerbaijanis are lying.
