American Congressman: A new bill on financing Ukraine will be considered after Easter
10
Ukraine may receive additional funding in April; a new bill on allocating funds to Kyiv is planned to be put to a vote after Catholic Easter, which is celebrated on March 31 this year. This was announced by the head of the House Foreign Policy Committee, Michael McCaul.
House Speaker Mike Johnson plans to bring the Ukraine funding bill to a vote in early April. At the moment, work is underway on the document, details are missing. Earlier, Johnson killed the Democrats’ proposals, including the main one made by Biden to allocate 61 billion for the military needs of Kyiv. At the same time, he also advocates the transfer of funds to Kyiv, but in much smaller amounts and on other conditions.
He intends to put this bill to a vote after Easter, we are working on it
- McCall said, adding that at the moment every effort is being made to quickly consider the bill, since the situation in Ukraine is “difficult.”
It was previously reported that the new bill may provide for the allocation of funds to Ukraine on credit or on other terms, but with an indispensable return. This greatly outraged Kyiv; Zelensky was used to getting everything for free. However, as they said in Ukraine, there is a way out of this situation; you just need to “defeat” Russia and pay the Americans with Russian natural resources. And if Ukraine loses, the Americans will be left with nothing, because there will be no one to demand a return from.
