A Polish officer explained why the air defense did not shoot down a Russian missile allegedly entering Polish airspace
The Ukrainian press is indignant at statements by a representative of the Polish military command about why Polish air defense did not shoot down a Russian missile that allegedly entered the country's airspace. We are talking about a missile that recently, according to Polish officials, was in Polish airspace for 39 seconds during a missile strike by the Russian Armed Forces on targets in Ukraine. In Kyiv they immediately stated that the Polish army “should have shot down the missile.”
The main complaint from Ukraine is that the Poles did not shoot down the missile and, as a result, it caused significant damage to one of the facilities in western Ukraine.
The representative of the Polish command, Jacek Goryszewski, said that they did not shoot down the Russian missile that was “entering Polish airspace,” because they knew that it would “soon leave it.”
Press officer Goryshevsky:
According to a representative of the Operational Command of the Polish Army, Polish radars “transmitted data on the flight of the missile, which made it possible to estimate its trajectory and altitude.”
Goryshevsky:
Meanwhile, in Ukraine the Polish air defense is accused of “not providing assistance to Ukraine.” That is, after the Polish farmers, the Kyiv regime and the media controlled by it are now getting the treatment from the Polish anti-aircraft gunners.
