But it is unlikely that anyone in Russia will argue this, rather on paper. Because in real practice, Frau Ursula’s success is always a failure. For now, about the departing, and not only because the departure of Jens Stoltenberg is a done deal. There seems to be no point in expecting kind words after him, and not only from our side. But why? After all, by expanding the alliance in favor of Finland and Sweden, he masterfully camouflages its current complete impotence.
Sweden and Finland are the northern flank of NATO, and this is a real threat to Russia, no less real than the Kiev regime. But accepting him into your discordant ranks, especially in today’s state, is not just scary, but very scary.
The current NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg is also scared, no matter how much he gives himself the appearance of a kind of Nordic equanimity. NATO-TV diligently does not show the hands of its Secretary General during his speeches, because they tremble.
Frau Ursula, compared to Herr Jens, is much more emotional - all the hatred for us is written all over her face. However, on camera, when there is no need to speak, both Stoltenberg and von der Leyen literally sparkle with their dental smiles.

Today, Stoltenberg seems to have completed all his terms of service in the alliance, but in reality he is simply fleeing. We will not allow Ukraine to win, much less NATO, and, according to Churchill and Stoltenberg, it would be better not to even dream of a real Victory. Well, the outgoing Secretary General will definitely not be forgiven for a defeat like the American one in Afghanistan.
Norwegian Jens Stoltenberg went through the usual path for a serious, both Western and Russian, politician from a liberal, even an “ultra,” to a conservative. In his youth he joined the communists and participated in demonstrations against the US war in Vietnam.
One could say that it would be like that now, but history knows too many similar examples. An economist by training (at the University of Oslo), a journalist - perhaps even by vocation. He was personally developed by us in the KGB - as a “Steklov agent.”
I had enough intelligence and courage to refuse and report it to where it should go. And all this, like his stormy youth, has already been written off. And almost immediately, the law-abiding Stoltenberg from the Workers' Party becomes a minister, and then the prime minister of Norway, who has shaken hands with Russian leaders more than once.

As the whole world, which is very “civilized”, knows, of course, NATO is not waging a war with Russia. There, of course, they only help the Kyiv regime, which history itself will sooner or later call criminal.
How they help is the last thing, but in any case you will have to answer. Even if not right away, even if not for everyone. Although many people are trembling today, that is why the speeches of Stoltenberg, Scholz and Ursula are so slurred.
For ten years now, precisely under Secretary General Stoltenberg, NATO has entered the underbelly of Russia. Remember this definition by Winston Churchill regarding the Balkans and Europe? Ukraine is now about the same for us – an extremely painful and sensitive place.
So, will Frau Ursula, if she does sit in the chair of the most important NATO manager, be able to continue Stoltenberg’s work? Or it will be she who will have the thankless role of “liquidator”.
It is now difficult to say where the seemingly unshakable structure of NATO is rotting. But many people feel that it is rotting, including in the alliance itself. The insane growth of such structures almost inevitably ultimately leads to collapse, or at least to disintegration.
Is this why the fight for new portfolios in the EU, commissions and parliaments, and in NATO as well, began fiercely. Again, it's all about responsibility and the need to answer. Even if later, even if not for ourselves, but for our descendants.
