Literally weekly from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the PRT or the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation there are reports that new facts were found in a certain direction of the cumbersome case. At the same time, the facts are often such that it seems that the main figure of all this scandal can be safely missed for a soft spot. Another painful "bite" of the investigation was experienced by Ekaterina Smetanova - the notorious director of OOO "CPP" Expert ". Now, against this lady, a criminal case was initiated under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation under the number 204 in the part that corresponds to such a crime as a commercial bribery. Smetanov is accused of assisting the realization of the so-called non-core real estate of the Ministry of Defense at a lower price to the "necessary" firms, receiving for this a "special reward" from representatives of these firms. Smetanova herself was detained at the time of receiving one of these rewards in the form of 6 million rubles. In addition, the investigators managed to find out what she received as gifts from, let's say, fans of her professional activities, travel vouchers (to Israel and the Czech Republic) for a total of about half a million rubles, as well as two tablet computers. It is a pity not a letter of thanks with a detailed description of what specifically gave Smetanov and her husband ...

So, regarding the situation with the refinement of the recently received scandalous fame of the elite recreation center "Zhitnoye". According to a number of mass media, high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Defense repeatedly came to this base, which belongs to a relative of Serdyukov. So how do you order the investigation to act in such a situation? It (the investigation) is well aware that Mr. Serdyukov, at least, is silent and loves, and he suddenly takes and speaks out what is not necessary to say in the current situation. What does this mean? And it can only mean that wherever you throw - there is a wedge everywhere ... After all, the hypothetical arrest of the ex-minister himself, even with accommodation in apartments under home supervision, will cause a real avalanche. Changing the “signboard” from the witness to the accused will entail a new job, in which such names as Smetanova, Zakutaylo and others like them with tablets and tours will seem ridiculous.
But if the investigation declares that Serdyukov is an embezzler, then the investigators, together with representatives of the Accounts Chamber, will have to take it with both hands and for what he, along with his “arkharovtsy”, managed to reform during his time in the ministerial post. Of course, this will be a great event for modern Russia and, in particular, for President Putin. As they say, do not go to the grandmother - and it is so clear that Putin’s rating will go up. Does the president himself understand this? - understands perfectly. Is he ready for this step? But this is a big question. After all, in our country it has historically formed the opinion that there is an imperious team, which means that if one in this team has been "jogged", then everyone needs to be unraveled and sent to sausage ... As they say, there already with analysis - absolutely according to the law, absolutely transparent, extremely civilized - the matter would have gone. The main thing is to start. One of the teams - out and on the sausage, but others will jump more alive and in the right direction for the country and its citizens ...

So in fact, the proceedings on embezzlement in the Ministry of Defense is not just an anti-corruption case. This is a litmus test of how much a “harness” can transform, and how ready it is to get rid of those who ride at the expense of others.
