"Friendship-24": Russia is creating an alternative to the Olympic Games

IOC vs Russia

The idea of holding international competitions in Russia at first glance seems to be an attempt to rub the nose of the International Olympic Committee, which has not been doing well lately. First of all, with consistency. The latest shame happened to the Israeli team, which, according to all the concepts of the IOC, needed to be deprived of an invitation to the Olympics in Paris next year.

A series of war crimes against the civilian population of the Gaza Strip cannot go unnoticed by sports officials. But this did not happen, and the committee justified itself extremely cynically:

“Athletes cannot be held responsible for the actions of their governments.”

The Russian special operation in Ukraine, in comparison with the Israeli one, is much more vegetarian, but it was our athletes who fell under the rink of sanctions. The International Olympic Committee's subsequent justification was even more pathetic:

“The measures taken and recommendations of the IOC are a consequence of the start of the SVO by the Russian Army during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing 2022. This was a violation of the existing Olympic Truce and the Olympic Charter."

After this, what is the point of having any kind of dialogue with an openly fascist company?

Nevertheless, negotiations were carried out by the Russian side, both overt and hidden from view. But no adequate reactions followed - even if our athletes were allowed to compete, it was under a neutral flag.

No and no need. We will create our own games where the strongest athletes can compete with their colleagues. This is necessary, first of all, for Russian athletes. Most of them are excommunicated from international competitions, which cannot but affect their motivation.

Quite a few champions have already outgrown the Russian level and are quite capable of competing at higher levels. People are preparing for the Olympic Games almost from birth, and it is wrong to deprive our stars of international level competitions. Together with the fans, they create a unique sporting unity, which cannot be avoided.

В stories There was already a precedent for independence - in 1984, the Soviet Union held a series of competitions “Friendship-84”, assigning its competition sites to nine countries of the social bloc.

But it is impossible to directly compare the events of forty years ago and modern ones. The Soviet Union responded in a mirror to the demarche of the United States at the 80 Olympics in Moscow, when the Americans and their satellites boycotted our sports festival. In 1984, Los Angeles already dispensed with the athletes of the socialist bloc.

Now the situation is more complicated and tougher. This is not just about a boycott - our athletes were excluded from the Olympic agenda. Or for admission they call for betrayal. Therefore, if the World Friendship Games in 2024 were not in the plans, they should have been invented.

Just like forty years ago, Russia is trying to distance itself from comparisons with the Olympics. It's clear.

Firstly, it will not be possible to gather the same representative company - many world celebrities will not go to Russia under pain of sanctions. These are the realities of modern sport, which in the West is called completely non-politicized.

Secondly, the Russian Games will bypass the latest Olympic traditions. For example, weightlifter Loren Hubbard and football player Quinn, boys who think they are girls, will not be at Friendship 2024. Anyone interested in non-binary and transgender people can enjoy plenty of them at the upcoming Olympics in Paris. Something tells me that the French will have a notable zoo in this sense.

Who will go?

Once news the World Friendship Games in 2024 were documented, and there was a stir in the international Olympic office.

The functionaries unanimously called for a boycott of the Russian Games, which will take place next September in Moscow and Yekaterinburg. Athletes must participate in “correct” competitions, and only the International Olympic Committee can determine the degree of correctness.

Officials do not remember that any competition only strengthens the spirit of sports on the planet. What could be expected from people whose Israeli athletes are not responsible for their government, but whose Russian ones are?

The next year will pass under obvious and not so obvious attempts to disrupt Friendship-24 from the West. You need to be prepared for this.

Personal sanctions against participants, a boycott of television broadcasting and an all-out information war will be used. Let's look at the possibilities of imported ill-wishers point by point. You can’t bring everyone under sanctions, just like you can’t transplant everyone. The world has not been centered around the IOC headquarters in Lausanne for a long time.

As Marat Filippov, Secretary of the Presidential Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports, said:

“This tournament will be one of the flagship ones. This is not an alternative to the Olympic Games - it is an attractive, commercially successful tournament for world sports stars.”

Some will go to Russia for financial gain, some out of pure sporting interest, and for quite a few, the Games will become a real alternative to the traditional Olympics. This already happened in 1984. Athletes who were not allowed to attend the Los Angeles Games came to the Soviet Union.

Everything went more than perfectly - 84 world records were broken at Druzhba-44, many of which remain unsurpassed to this day. And in Los Angeles they only managed eleven. 4:1 in our favor.

There is every reason to believe that next September it will be possible to create something similar. The remaining points of possible Western pressure - a broadcasting boycott and an information war - are much easier to deal with. For the first, there is the Internet with video hosting sites, and for the second, we have at least begun to cope now.

Now it is too early to talk about the range of teams at the World Friendship Games, but some parallels can be drawn with the events of 40 years ago. They may move away from the national team format altogether and present the games in the form of commercial competitions. Former Warsaw Pact countries, of course, cannot be expected.

There are chances for a Hungarian delegation, but if athletes from this country appear, it will be in private. We will see Belarus, China, Iran, North Korea, the countries of Central Asia, the Middle East and the African continent. In 1984, not all countries had formed sports teams - now it’s easier. This means that the coverage will be appropriate.

Forty years ago, the Soviet Union managed to gather fifty flags under the banner of Friendship-84. 34 were among those who did not boycott the Los Angeles Olympics. Even the Americans came. “Friendship-24” should at least repeat the achievements of 1984.

World sports are returning to Russia, and that’s good. It’s bad that this took almost two years from the start of the special operation. But the watershed has been passed.

Welcome everyone to the World Friendship Games! And may the best man win!

Everything is very simple. It is necessary to declare the IOC an LGBT committee. And their Olympics are the LGBT Olympics.
And hold an alternative Olympics at the same time as the LGBT Olympics. Pay good prizes, not LGBT ones. And call it the BRICS Olympics.
And then soon the IOC will only have LGBT people left.

How quickly time flew by. 40 years!!! I would like to see more money allocated for the development of sports. Stop taking money from the parents of young talents! Revive competitions at enterprises, let the owners fork out a little! Let's strike sport at idleness!!!

so that more money is allocated for the development of sports.
What difference does it make anyway who runs faster and jumps higher? For this money you can sponsor several teams of scientists - they are more useful than teams of water polo players.

Even if you’re not in the subject, you still have to open your mouth and croak. I report: my daughter is graduating from the Chertanovo football school, one of the best in the country. Her team Chertanovo girls 2008 has been the best in the country for the last 3 years based on the results of all competitions and championships, you can check it. In Poland, if it weren’t for the trickery of the local coaches, they would have also taken 1st place, not 2nd. Then the pandemic, the war, somehow things didn’t work out with international tournaments. There are girls from out of town who live in a boarding school, there are parents who left their cities and came to Moscow at the invitation of their child to school, live in rented apartments, and found work.
For the entire time of school and football, we, like the rest, were charged 0 rubles! Zero, in words!! And enough of the bawling already.
Moskomsport categorically ensures that there are no extortions from parents. Regional structures should do the same. If this happens somewhere, it is either a private shop or local voluntarism.

This is what the main thing means - an athlete! We would have another scientist, engineer and industrialist in our power, and we would see that science and industry would be raised. 9 countries from social. block is not an alternative. Now it will be one Belarus.
    The alternative is Goodwill Games!
The first Games took place in Moscow (USSR) from July 5 to July 20, 1986. More than 3000 athletes from 79 countries took part in them, competing for 182 gold medals in 18 sports.

I agree with you. Moreover, Moscow was able to gather athletes for the Goodwill Games by stamping their feet.
But now such a trick won’t work on anyone.
Therefore, one cannot expect a large representation of the participating countries. It can also be assumed that the “orphaned and poor” will be given conditions for participation, accommodation and other “household services” at Russia’s expense, if only they can come.
No matter how later historians began to ridicule the current regime for its unsuccessful attempt to “reproduce” the actions of the USSR.

When criticizing, suggest! What's the alternative? I'll try to figure it out. You can fold your hands and, as before, tell honest people that athletes have been preparing for the Olympic Games all their lives and depriving them of the games is inhumane, in a word - don’t care about humiliation, everyone already knows that these are Russian athletes. it would seem humane. But here's the thing. This exercise showed that you can wipe your feet on Russia. Like, Putin will endure it. And when hour X came, isn’t that why the number of countries that supported Ukraine reached 50, and perhaps there would have been fewer of them, huh?

The opinion, naturally, is not the most popular, but “advertising achievements and marketing budgets” should probably be stopped with professional sports. I understand when during the Soviet era the US and Canadian national teams fought against the “Red Machine”. Two systems that were even interested in competing with each other. And today, what is left of this? One team of cosmopolitans trying to run over another?

Well, where did she go? Well, a person lives in Spain, why can’t he retire? She doesn’t rinse the country, she doesn’t finance ukrov. And what did she say that she was an officer rather formally, isn’t that so? Or we don’t know what CSKA is, where athletes are simply drafted into the army. Yes, she would have shown the same results at Dynamo and Lokomotiv. The main thing is that she does not rinse the country and our people, like Pugacheva, for example. Or take Berezutsky. He’s also an officer, but he encourages football players to move to foreign clubs. And nothing. Why don't we notice? Yes, simply because these are athletes of different calibers. There is no need to be so harsh with Elena, she brought a lot of glory to the country in her time. And now he behaves quite moderately. She moved to Spain even before SVO, and now she finds herself in an ambiguous position. Of course, this reduces her halo of fame, but not to zero.

    World sport returns to Russia

So far, it is Russia that is about to withdraw from world sports. Yes, and get ready and jump are two different verbs. Especially after all the rantings of our sports officials, who for years tried to get into the place where they were kicked out. Through the spitting at our athletes and the humiliation of the entire country in their face.

    And so it passed
almost two years since the start of the special operation
    .
    и
    the watershed has been passed.

Well, not exactly passed, until they finally decided not to try to continue to climb where they rudely kick us out. By the way, where did you decide?
As soon as the news about the World Friendship Games in 2024 was formalized

I searched Yandex and did not find any news on this topic. It would be great to leave a link to the official news source. Otherwise, it happens more than once that something is officially announced and an hour later it is canceled as a result of behind-the-scenes agreements.

If it turns out to be true, then this is a good and correct step. But it is also obvious that in order for someone from other countries to come, the country must have authority, and it does not matter whether it is caused by military force, economics, or all of these together. If in a year we also win in everything, proudly kicking our enemies and not looking for agreements behind our backs as we have been doing for the last couple of years, then they will arrive in accordance with our achievements. However, I hope that at least teams from Belarus and North Korea will come in any case, unless we suddenly achieve additional success.
But no matter who comes, the idea is good and correct, and even after years of humiliation of our athletes, the wise fathers of our sport finally matured to this difficult decision for them.
The main thing is that it doesn’t turn out to be just a loud bore such as leaving the Bologna system and others that were loudly announced on air and quietly annulled behind the scenes in reality.

PS: I found news here for example https://www.sport-express.ru/others/reviews/igry-druzhby-2024-kogda-v-moskve-proydut-sorevnovaniya-i-kto-v-nih-primet-uchastie- 2091380

In my opinion, this is crap: it immediately produces a long list. But, just in case, look in the browser settings “Manage search engines”, maybe Yandex is not there at all. Even all sorts of DuckDuckGo, etc. they lower the results of any search engine for “sites with Russian propaganda.” There is no need to talk about Google, especially if it is on your list as the main one. By changing the search engine, you can see different results from one search.
We have not built such a propaganda system at all. But this is not necessarily a negative. There are different groups of people who fight for channels of access to information. Control, of course, is needed, but you can’t fight propaganda either. The thinking process starts when there is a thesis and antithesis.

The government of the Gaza Strip attacked from a widely recognized wound. But from the point of view of almost all countries in the LDPR, Ukraine conducted military operations on its territory against the separatists. Do you feel the difference? "Attack another country and operate within your own borders." - Well, Israel doesn’t act that way within its borders; it has long gone beyond them. So the analogy is that we are fighting on our own land, but with Israel it doesn’t work at all. Even the blockheaded UN “noted” this. The point here is simple - you can’t do it to strangers, but you can do it to your own people. And how to “justify” this in modern times is of little concern to anyone.

To feel the difference, you need to consider more examples. For example, about the separatists: compare how Kyiv acted against Lugansk and Donetsk in 2014 and Madrid against the separatists of Barcelona. Feel the difference. And about the war on foreign territory. The world has not yet forgotten the pictures from Mosul in Iraq, which the United States razed to the ground. . Isn't it very similar to the landscape in the Gaza Strip as depicted by the IDF? Birds of a feather. And find something similar in Kyiv and other large cities of Ukraine with a predominant civilian population. The actions of the Amers and the Israelis clearly show a disproportionate use of force. And that's putting it very mildly. So, despite a good purpose, Israel is clearly committing an unprecedented war crime. But the IOC does not see this, because it is told to look only towards Russia.

Russia now has so much money that they decided to hold the next Olympics with thousands of athletes from other countries? And if the Sochi Olympics were at least partially financed by advertising contracts with the West and their tourists, now this event will be paid for entirely out of taxpayers’ pockets. And after this we wonder why the whole world is collecting money for children’s treatment and why the roads are so bad.

Eastern tourists leave less money, or why are such “forecasts” being made? I am confident that commerce will not be able to raise sport to the level it was in the last century. The very attitude towards the athlete is consumerist. He is good as long as he shows results. “We need to sell this football player while he is still running.” Our sport I didn’t lose anything from Tuktamysheva’s departure.” And this is instead of gratitude to the figure skater. Commerce dictates our vision of the world. If he says that a leaf of a tree is blue, then don’t you dare say that it is green. This is the world of optical illusion that we live in.

Welcome everyone to the World Friendship Games! And may the best man win!

The idea is good. Invite the world to compete according to real Olympic criteria...
The only question is, who is Russia trying to unite through proper international competitions? Who will decide to receive a bouquet of sanctions for participating in competitions in which athletes from countries whose total population will amount to (???%) of the total world population will be able to take part?
On the other hand, the purity and fairness of judging at these competitions, the absence of different genders, depressed athletes and asthmatic athletes can play that simple role of a carrot.
    * * *
One is visible to the naked eye. This attempt cannibalistic power is unlikely to have a devastating effect on the IOC. Why cannibalistic?! Yes, because under this government the population of Russia is declining; because this power places the citizens of its country at different levels of the social ladder; because the social policy of this government is rolling like a repressive roller on ordinary citizens, depriving them of the opportunity to “live happily ever after”; because for thirty years this government has not been able to achieve unity in the country, except in matters of universal human values (although, having listened to the speeches of some of its representatives like: “there is no money, but you hold on,” “about the poor,” “about pasta,” - it's practically not noticeable)...
There are many examples of this, starting from the Sochi Olympics and ending with various Universiade... A pathetic attempt to inflate a bicycle tube with your mouth.

Do I need to explain the meaning of my doubts or is it clear that without mass support, without mass participation, such competitions are doomed in advance... Although...

I think that there is practically no chance of success for these particular Games of ours -24. But they must be carried out as a kind of demarche, and also as a tool for supporting domestic athletes. Perhaps (from the point of view of a demarche) it would be worth announcing the suspension of our membership in the IOC. The motivation is simple - humiliating conditions for participation in competitions, incompatible with human dignity. I think world sport is in the soul (not functionaries, but athletes). will understand and even appreciate it. The main motive for organizing our games is to declare the interests of Russian athletes, who, in principle, need to find a use for themselves. That is, it should be positioned (at least for now) as an open Russian championship, or more precisely, an open Russian Spartakiad. The elite of world sports will of course not come. If only because she will only compete at the Paris Olympics the day before. But it is impossible to accept 24 everyone in a row at our Spartakiad. Strict selection based on current world rankings. In this case, you can fully count on a strong second echelon of world sports (especially in team sports). But simply inviting conventional “African figure skaters” is under no circumstances. You shouldn’t go overboard with the prize fund either, it’s approximately at the level of the Olympiads. But the Winter Spartakiad is already more interesting. We need to choose the right window: from a purely sports point of view - so that, for reasons of peak fitness, athletes do not have to choose between our Spartakiad and the IOC Olympics. And everything must be done without fanfare. There may be fewer participants, but high-quality ones. And people’s money should not be wasted, but on their own people (Russian athletes).

Now she is in State. The Duma is screaming something about honor and conscience? The cult of singers

Dear Popuas, well, for example, the Russian Open Championship in figure skating, or synchronized swimming, or skiing is objectively not quite a housing and communal services competition. I have already proposed above that these Games of ours should be organized as the Open Spartakiad of Russia. At the same time, it’s not our sports to include at all. Introduce normal qualification selection. There is no need for artificial mass. Famous people will not go, and this must be treated with understanding. After all, it’s not even about politics; even objectively, an athlete cannot constantly bring himself to peak form. And a month after the Olympics in Paris, a top athlete simply physically and emotionally will not be able to handle our Games in September. But let’s say you can count on the second echelon of world sports and ensure a decent competitive level even without crazy prize money. First of all, for our athletes. And the costs will not be astronomical. Just don’t pompously position this to spite the IOC. But behind the scenes this will be a wake-up call for the IOC. You should not be constantly offended and draw red lines on paper, but do your job. Taking care of their athletes and people (in the sense of cosmic budgets for an alternative to the IOC Olympics).

The problem of determining the gender of an athlete has always been one of the key ones in women's sports. It is clear that in everyday life it is easier to determine gender, but the sport of great achievements is not ordinary life. In fact, certain mutants become champions (without implying anything negative), who genetically beat their opponents. And one of the most important factors in victories is the level of testosterone in the blood. And the more of it an individual has, the more likely he is to win. The presence of this hormone is not typical for women, but various mutants have more than enough of it. In appearance it may well be a woman, but genetically and physiologically something in between - it will be much easier for such an individual to achieve a medal. And how will this problem be solved at the Friendship-24 games? Do they use good old visual inspection? That's not how it works. Will they try using chromosome analysis? So it does not provide a stable separation. Will they be judged by testosterone levels? Then how will it be different from the Olympics?

T.N. "big sport" is just a show. The only thing he instills in people is the understanding that you can be a participant in the show, and you will be paid something for participating (that’s the profession) or you can grab quite a lot if you “win.” No such “victories” and sports heroes have existed since the moment when the competition between the two systems disappeared. Of course, the show's promoters talk about its benefits, but this is just a lie, nothing more.
At the moment, the dog and pony show "Big Sport" belongs entirely to the Americans. Of course, they invite whoever they want into their business scheme and kick out whoever they want. You can try to get in there only on the owners’ terms. And the “winners” in the show are not those who are supposedly “better”, but those who, according to the owners’ plans, will bring more money to the box office. The show should attract viewers and scam them out of money, so the “winners” are not determined at the stadium, of course)) You have to be a fan to believe in the reality of these results and standings))
So, those people who milked our government for money to “support Big Sports” began to be denied funding. And they, naturally, declared that they were capable of organizing their own show. If, of course, they get a huge jackpot for it. They insist that the organization of the next fraudulent (the show is a fraud. Always. Otherwise, you won’t get money from the suckers. Simply because an attractive picture in itself very rarely comes out) “games” is of great political importance, they say this will be a “victory for the country.” ".
Maybe so. The organization of a profitable international enterprise would bring undoubted benefits to the country, provided that taxes are received into the budget. However, let's look at the activities of these show business "pros". What can they do? The only visible skill of our “sports organizers” is to shake money from the budget, while not forgetting to squeeze a fat share out of their artists, in the sense of athletes) That’s all, they can do absolutely nothing else.

95 percent of athletes need to earn money, because the age of sports is oh so short, and they will never get a world name, which can then be converted into income. Therefore, whether they compete with the strongest or not, it makes no difference - the main thing is that there is material protection for their future.
And in terms of composition, it seems that the level of athletes in Russia is higher than the world, so internal competitions will be at the highest level (in the Union, as you remember, this is exactly what happened - our “amateurs” went out and turned out to be stronger than their “professionals”). The main thing is to organize everything correctly. And This is the main and seemingly unsolvable problem. recourse

Therefore, whether they compete with the strongest or not, it makes no difference - the main thing is that there is material protection for their future.

This will happen if, for example, the state someday launches mass physical training work for young people throughout the country. So trainers will be needed for the revived structures. But it won't be right away. At first, by inertia, officials, having received kicks from respected partners, will finally decide to do something of their own in order to preserve their feeding trough in the first place. Then, when they crap themselves over and over again, they will be replaced a couple of times with someone less crap and more capable of actually doing something. At the same time, an understanding of the need to revive a massive and effective system of physical education for youth will begin to emerge against the backdrop of questions generated by military necessity, etc. So in what is happening now with this reversal, the very fact of the reversal is important. Let it be from repeated kicks to those who never wanted and don’t want this reversal, even with the prospects of shameful screw-ups at first. But without the first step there will not be those subsequent ones that the country and people need to survive in the situation that is developing around us.

    Conflicting feelings.
On the one hand, we are not the USSR, the sooner this reaches us, the better. We do not have a social block, such a large economy and free funds.
In general, we now have problems with extra money, given the increase in inflationary trends and the ongoing SVO, which even according to the most optimistic estimates will not end in 2024. The scale of the action will have to be kept near the Olympics - where will it be? Dispersed? In Sochi ? In Moscow ?
All of these decisions have disadvantages - Moscow is unlikely to be fully ready and is unlikely to have time to fully prepare, Sochi is dangerously close to the NWO event zone and there will be a higher risk of TA, although in principle the risk of TA will not be negligible. A distributed approach would be the most expensive of the options, as I see it. All this is a waste of preparation and a diversion of resources for security.

In general, in principle, the ideas of the usefulness of megalocompetitions are somewhat outdated ideas. In the time of Adolf Aloizovich, this was damn fresh; in the 1980s, they had already learned to squeeze out everything they could and even more from the “show” - but we must admit that from the point of view of a powerful foreign policy show, all this is getting weaker and weaker. 2012 in Sochi cost us a lot of money, and although it was useful for the city infrastructure, it did not in the least affect what happened two years later. This did not make us much more friends in the world, investments did not pour into our economy in a powerful stream - and vice versa, through some. time, a dirty doping scandal broke out, either an actual one or an incredibly cleverly concocted one.
Watching what was happening in those years, I finally became convinced for myself that sport CAN still be the cherry on the cake of the face of the state, but this is a small (and still getting smaller) cherry, it should not be overestimated in an era when new records do not break old ones at times and exceed by hundredths.
And in order to “roll this trick”, the state needs to have this very “face”, so that behind the curtain of ballet, #nuclear weapons and sports there is something else that is more impressive in the 21st century.
Then yes, sport will contribute. And without this, it will be an empty shock in an era when people are fed up with spectacles, their memory is short, and the boundaries between the real and the unreal are already overlapping each other quite deeply.

The feasibility of investing significant funds from the budget in professional. sport, and especially the expenditure of healthy human resources on it, also makes me skeptical. We're talking about professionals. sports, when they invest more in a person’s life than in an astronaut, with high risks of injury and loss of value, and despite the fact that this very value he brings is dubious “in the world of real things.” Who in five years will remember some guy who took silver somewhere?
IMHO, it is better to support sports at the amateur level, because human capabilities have long been limited practically - and further it is either stupid doping, or sophisticated doping, or genetic manipulation.

As for the advantages of "Friendship-24" - there are also advantages. We now have quite a good potential in the field of using “alternatives”, just as we are going out with alternatives to our military equipment in front of Western ones. That is, potentially starting something like the Olympic Games “with blackjack and Cheburashkas” may not be so bad, BUT JUST FROM THE PERSPECTIVE POINT OF VIEW. Because we have a joint, sir, we love starting toys and then forgetting and throwing them away. Now, it would be good if you start this toy, then you shouldn’t throw it away. Yes, of course, do it less often. Once every three to five years, for example. From the point of view of creating a new powerful brand, yes, there is potential. For the future.

We won’t make a fool of the IOC, it’s worth admitting that, but that shouldn’t be the goal. All this mouse fuss and mosquito bites, all this rustling from shifting tricky pieces of paper - this is not something that should cause us damage and not something to which we should divert our attention. In the 21st century, we will not “drag” because of sports, if we drag then because of high technologies, powerful industry and smart people who can be trained from an early age not to kick a ball and not to sprint like a crawl, but to come up with new, useful things ,patent and produce them.
There will be enough entertainment for the people without this - you can throw this money into the production of suitable cinema, games and cartoons.

During the Friendship-24 Games, will hostilities on the LBS in Ukraine stop or not? If “yes,” then this is not very beneficial for Russia.

An interesting point, especially since we, as the organizer, must initiate this process. And the enemy doesn’t owe anything. Maybe there is some confidence that by this moment the SVO will end and naturally in our favor

Once again, politicians and sports bureaucrats are “burning in all places” to quickly absorb the budget billions for the sake of showing off...”
It is much more useful to give up funding for “high performance sports” for years and concentrate on mass sports for the sake of the health of the nation.
Every yard, every school should have sports grounds, and the task of local authorities is to organize sports competitions:
street to street, village to village, school to school....
This is a normal practice within the region, where large funds for travel, accommodation, special services are not required...

Well, there was Friendship-85. I even received a certificate from the Komsomol Central Committee for my participation in the organization.

The question is not whether it will take off or not. The question is expediency! There is a war going on or SVO, call it what you want! Accordingly, what is the motivation and benefit in these games??? This is silly!! Now everything is for the front, everything is for victory and as quickly as possible!! This makes sense! And the arrival of participants and leading Russian athletes to these games, knowing that Ukraine not only hates Russians, it openly promises to destroy. The country is a terrorist, which will not disdain any methods to disrupt or darken this sports festival!! Now is NOT the time for these games!! We must win first, and then we will become winners and athletes from different countries will consider it an honor to be invited to participate in these games!!!

It’s absurd to believe that grown, strong men “defend the honor of the country” by sledding downhill, skating in circles, or clicking the mouse at least 205 times in 30 seconds (Ministry of Sports standards for “esportsmen”), it’s strange that at the e-sports championship They didn’t think of organizing a burger-eating team.
It would be great to take advantage of the Russian national team’s non-admission to international competitions and refuse to support professional sports and abandon the officials of the Ministry of Sports and the Russian Olympic Committee. Spectator sports: football, hockey, figure skating, etc. they will live well themselves. And society won’t even notice the absence of the rest.

Amateur sports are much more beneficial for society and for the athletes themselves.

However, the USSR actively participated in the Olympic Games. And for some reason China and others are participating in this “senseless event”

During the Soviet era, the entertainment industry, which included, among others. professional sports was much smaller than it is now.
Nowadays, the Olympic Games are of interest to a certain category of the population, and not to the majority as it was before. Just look at the trend of referendums of citizens against hosting the Olympics.

And one more thing: there are many new non-Olympic sports.
In the same shooting sport, the “Olympiad” areas are very boring for the shooter.
This is the basics that you need to be good at, but further development goes into F-class, sniping, etc., and not endless shooting from small guns at 50 or pneumatics at 10.

There will be good conditions for the participating countries, as well as for athletes in various forms of prize money and they will flock like flies to jam, And don’t care about the IOC, WADA and other parasites. Eternal Rome, as it turns out, is not eternal at all! lol

We can discuss endlessly the creation of an alternative to the Olympic Games, finding both pros and cons. However, we forget the main thing - a year and a half ago we realized everything and said out loud: “the world in which we lived no longer exists, a return to the past is impossible.” So why look back now and look for reasons to be afraid? It is clear that last spring the country had no time to resolve sports issues. But now, what’s stopping you from just starting to live your life without currying favor with the owners of the “blooming garden”? In fact, it doesn’t really matter how successful the first international competitions we organize will be. It is known that the one who walks will master the road.
And the LGBT Olympics should be officially recognized as insignificant, politicized and violating the principles of the Olympic movement. The results are not accepted, etc. Let them go wild. And let your athletes understand that it won’t be any different. If they want to play for Russia, that’s with us. If with lace panties, then good riddance.
I think organizing your own competitions is the right idea and the time has come for it.

In my opinion, it is high time to declare the current composition of the IOC, and the IOC itself, illegitimate due to the violation of the principles of the Olympic Charter, and to create a new, parallel IOC, which will automatically lead to confusion and split, which is what we need.

If they said “A”, they must also say “B” - make their own anti-doping commission, and WADA is going through the woods with its “disabled people” on steroids. I think many countries will support. And new sports that are not included in the Olympic list can also be included or invented.

Hooray! Hooray!! Finally! It is wonderful that we decided to create a new international Olympiad under the auspices of Russia. Moreover, it is desirable that it take place each time not in different countries - but only in Russia. And I believe that the winning athletes should be given very large cash prizes - approximately equal to a million dollars - so as to attract as many eminent participants as possible. And to save money, do not spend new sports facilities and hotels every time - but use the old ones, only slightly renovating them, because the largest expenditure of money for each Olympics is not on the athletes, but on the construction of facilities.
