Who is hunting whom? GUR against PMC "Wagner" in Sudan
More and more often, in statements by the leaders of Ukrainian intelligence, theses are voiced that the Main Intelligence Directorate is moving to active work outside the territory of Ukraine. It has long been known that employees of this service work in other countries. Soviet legacy. Having agents in other countries is a prerequisite for diplomacy to work.
Diplomats must “hear” not only what is being said from high stands, but also what is being said in whispers on the sidelines of the Foreign Ministries of the countries in which they work. Moreover, the intelligence network in most countries, including Ukraine, operates almost legally. This does not exclude the presence of law enforcement units there to perform special tasks.
It is clear that the modern power steering of the Square does not have the ability to seriously influence the political situation in European countries. Although, thanks to the huge number of refugees, the European intelligence network of the GUR has grown quite large and poses a real problem for European counterintelligence officers.
There are at least two reasons.
Firstly, the loss of Ukrainian sovereignty. The country's political leadership simply does not need to have any exclusive information. Political decisions have long been made outside of Kyiv. Almost the entire leadership of Ukraine is puppets of the West. And the entire Kiev regime is just a puppet theater under the leadership of Karabas-Barabas from Washington.
Secondly, even with the great desire of the GUR leadership to become a serious intelligence structure, this is physically impossible.
Let me remind you of one fact that everyone carefully forgets. Remember the graduation at the SBU Academy, when the graduates were presented with shoulder straps and diplomas by US Ambassador William Taylor. I think the degree of US control over the intelligence and counterintelligence structures of Ukraine is clear.
If there is no enemy, you need to invent one
So, the leadership of the Main Intelligence Directorate faces a difficult task. It is necessary to create the image of a serious intelligence service without offending the owners. Naturally, the power steering must prove itself in the NWO zone. But, alas, the time for successful operations, such as blowing up the Crimean Bridge, has passed. Russian intelligence services successfully stop such operations. But sabotage, such as setting fire to military registration and enlistment offices or railway equipment, does not bring much glory.
And the latest landing of the DRG in Crimea generally showed a lack of faith in their special forces, even among the Ukrainians themselves. Disembarkation for the sake of disembarkation and selfies... Who, except some poorly educated villager, would take such an operation seriously? What could it really bring to Ukraine, even with complete success? Intimidate the residents of Crimea? Will not work. Analysts have long proven that such operations have the opposite effect.
In the absence of the possibility of choosing targets, the leadership of the Main Intelligence Directorate remembered... PMC "Wagner". Working against musicians is a goal that can bring serious dividends to Ukrainian intelligence! The only problem is that the PMC no longer operates in the NWO zone. Now the orchestra has again switched to work in other regions of the world. To fulfill agreements with the governments of other countries.
And this is where an interesting interview with General Budanov appears at a hotel in Washington, which was published by CNN. Here's a short quote from the hour-long interview:
“... anywhere in the world we will search for and pursue Russian war criminals, and sooner or later this time will come, no matter where they are. That’s why we shouldn’t be surprised when something happens to Russian war criminals on any territory.”
It is clear what Budanov meant. “Any territory” where the Wagner PMC operates today is located in Africa. In particular, musicians are now working in Sudan. According to rumors, Wagner fighters are working together with the RSF (Rapid Reaction Force) (RSF) against the government of this country, which has unleashed a civil war within the state.
It is there that we will look for traces of the Ukrainian power steering. It is only naive schoolchildren who think that they can live without leaving traces. You just have to be able to search. The easiest way to look is where you are not and cannot be. In this case, in Western closed Internet communities. True, one should also take into account the fact that there may be well-covered disinformation there too.
Some facts about power steering in Sudan
I'll start with one more quote. From the Babel Telegram channel. This is necessary in order to understand whether our conclusions about the place of work of GUR employees are correct. Taking into account the fact that Ukrainian intelligence simply does not physically have the opportunity to use a more or less serious unit in this region, of course.
“...this action and several others took place in Sudan against the forces of the private military company Wagner (PMC). "Wagner is working there with the Rapid Action Force (RSF) to overthrow the government in Sudan, where civil war against the Sudanese military continues."
This channel has published several videos without reference to the location, in which you can see snipers firing from some rock. Another quote from Babel:
“Ukrainian special forces actually carried out operations in Sudan against Wagner and the RSF. This information was confirmed to Babel by intelligence sources [who] provided several videos. The details of the operation have not yet been disclosed."
There are three videos in total on the channel. If you don’t think deeply about what you see, especially for those who watch a lot of videos from the NWO zone, then you won’t see anything special in these videos.
But there are nuances.
For example, the use of FPV-drones or homemade kamikazes. Let me remind you that it was the Ukrainian units that first began to use them.
In one of the videos we see footage from just such a drone. Again, let me remind you for those who closely follow the SVO, such drones created a completely different picture of the war. The efficiency compared to, for example, the Lancet is, of course, less, but the picture is much more telegenic. Flight to the target and... picture breaks. And if you supplement the fragment with footage from another drone, where you can see the hit, then the result will be no worse than a Hollywood movie.
Of course, one can argue about who is depicted in the video. There are enough Europeans in Africa. However, none of them yet works the way the fighters work in the northwestern military zone. And one more thing, if we return to the above-mentioned interview with Budanov. Ukrainians have experience working in Sudan.
When asked by a reporter about the participation of the Main Intelligence Directorate in the April events in the Khartoum area, Budanov replied that the Main Intelligence Directorate actually participated in the rescue operation, when almost 140 people were evacuated. But Budanov avoided answering the second part of the question about whether GUR soldiers participated in the attack on this city. Apparently, he did not want to confirm the participation of Ukrainians in the massacre...
A few conclusions from what was written
It is clear that much of what happens in the Ukrainian special services is shrouded in secrecy. This is quite common practice for any special units and services. The specifics of the work presuppose such a course of action. Hence the difficulty in presenting certain events or facts. Some things are simply at the level of conclusions from indirect facts, some from open sources, some from leaks, etc.
The fact that the Main Intelligence Directorate really wants to be on par with the world’s serious intelligence services is understandable. This is a necessary condition for effective work. It is no secret that even today there are communication channels where specialists from different countries share information and thus prevent crimes on their territory.
The second conclusion is much more serious.
Ukraine is passionate about expanding the conflict. Transferring it to the international category. The confrontation between the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Wagner PMC in Sudan, although rather arbitrary, fulfills precisely this task. With appropriate support from the Western media, this fact can be quite seriously inflated. And this, in theory, will lead to an increase in military assistance.
Well, the last conclusion.
These are the personal ambitions of General Budanov. We have already seen how they suddenly began to mold Budanov into a national hope, the savior of the country. Remember how many materials suddenly appeared almost about the genius of intelligence officer Budanov. But then this campaign stopped instantly.
Today, no one can say for sure whether Zelensky will live to see the elections. Will Ukrainians have to elect a president ahead of schedule? Even Zelensky himself, judging by his appearance and condition, understands this. This is where the devil can jump out of the box in the person of Budanov. This is where a national hero is needed.
The participation of Ukrainian specialists, given their number, will not affect the situation in Sudan in any way. They will be unable to stop or intensify the civil war. At best, these will be minor dirty tricks.
As for musicians, they are not whipping boys either. At the first clash, the resistance will be such that I doubt that the opponents have a chance to survive. So we'll keep an eye on the situation...
