American analyst: NATO only has a military option against Russia
39
As the events of the past year have shown, Russia is also successfully functioning under the sanctions imposed by Western countries. This indicates that the only way to resolve the conflict with the Russian Federation for NATO is the path of direct confrontation. Scott Ritter, an American analyst and former US Marine Corps intelligence officer, spoke about this in an interview with The Geopolitics In Conflict Show YouTube channel.
The retired American officer believes that the Russian economy under the sanctions not only has not suffered, but has become even stronger than it was before them. Ritter called the current state of the Russian economy the best in stories Russian state.
They cracked down on all the sanctions, which means that there is only a military option left, but the North Atlantic Alliance is not ready for it.
- emphasized the American analyst.
Ritter noted that in a year and a half of hostilities, Russia was able to deplete the military-industrial complexes of Western countries. Now Western states already understand that the situation in Ukraine is not in their favor. But the US authorities cannot recognize the reality - the collapse of their plans for the Russian-Ukrainian confrontation. Therefore, now, Ritter believes, Washington is artificially dragging out the Ukrainian conflict, continuing to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with various weapons.
In turn, Defense News experts Maximilian Bremer and Kelly Grieco criticized the idea of supplying F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. In their opinion, these supplies will not allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to gain an advantage, but can only contribute to the tightening of Russia's actions and larger-scale losses of the Ukrainian army.
