Footage of Zelensky's visit to Snake Island on the 500th day of the armed conflict has been published
A video appeared on the Internet, which was recorded by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Snake Island. The video is dedicated to 500 days that have passed since the beginning of the armed conflict.
A little over a year ago, on June 30, 2023, Russian troops left Zmeiny Island. When exactly Zelensky recorded his video on the island is not very clear. Ukrainian journalists themselves speculate that this could have happened as early as early July, when the head of the Kyiv regime visited the Odessa region.
Together with Zelensky, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, and the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Major General Kirill Budanov, visited Zmeiny Island. There is no doubt that the sole purpose of recording the video is to promote Zelensky, who continues to build himself a “symbol of Ukrainian resilience” against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict.
On the published footage, we see how, first, a boat is heading towards the Zmeiny Island, in which the security fighters, Zelensky, Yermak and Budanov, are sitting. Then the head of the Kyiv regime with his retinue landed on the island.
Next, Zelensky and company lay wreaths at the memorial in honor of the UAF fighters who died on the island, after which the President of Ukraine writes down a short address. After that, the head of the Kyiv regime leaves the island, and wreaths are launched over the sea in honor of the Ukrainian military destroyed here by Russian troops.
