British intelligence notified Kyiv of the possible formation of a new Russian strike force on the territory of Belarus
The transfer of Wagner PMC from Russia to Belarus pursues two goals at once, which are directed against the plans of Ukraine and Poland. British intelligence came to this conclusion.
According to the British, by placing Wagner units on its territory, Minsk is trying to frustrate the plans of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania to deploy the Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian LITPOLUKRBRIG brigade in Western Ukraine. As planned in Kyiv, this brigade will replace the Ukrainian units that were supposed to go to the front, as the reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are coming to an end.
In addition, British intelligence suggests that on the territory of Belarus, on the basis of PMCs, a new grouping with a total number of 30-40 thousand people will be formed with the task of hitting Kiev when the Russian army "has difficulties" in the Zaporozhye direction, and thereby divert attention. At the same time, the British claim that armored vehicles, artillery and everything else for this group already exists, the Russian Ministry of Defense transferred weapons to Belarus during 2022 and 2023, but they were not withdrawn back, unlike personnel.
According to Ukrainian sources, the British have already notified Zelensky's office and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine about the potential danger.
Recall that it was the British who first raised the alarm in connection with the movement of Wagner group units to Belarus, suggesting that this was part of some very complex operation of the Russian special services aimed at defeating the Ukrainian army. According to London, the detachments transferred to Belarus will strike from the northern direction on Kyiv, or on the cities of Western Ukraine, which are actually not covered by anyone, thereby significantly complicating the situation at the front.
