According to him, the meeting with the American leadership will confirm the common position of Italy and the United States on the Ukrainian issue. It will further strengthen transatlantic solidarity.

The official also expressed hope that the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine would bring a “just peace” closer.

At the moment, the Ukrainian application for joining the North Atlantic Alliance is supported by 20 of its members. Igor Zhovkva, deputy head of the Zelensky Office, claims that Kyiv signed the relevant documents with them.
