The fight for the purity of the ranks: a high-ranking officer of the Russian Guard arrested for fraud

In the power departments of Russia, the struggle for the purity of the ranks continues. Thus, a high-ranking officer of the Russian Guard, responsible for the examination of objects belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard of Russia, was recently arrested for fraud.
Alexander Khinshtein, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, announced this on his Telegram channel.
The deputy reported that before his arrest, Alexei Snegirev served as deputy head of the Center for State Expertise of the Russian Guard. Since he is suspected of compiling a forged examination, an employee of the law enforcement agency became a defendant in a fraud case.
According to preliminary data provided by the investigation, the National Guard received unreliable documents from contractors, in which the estimate for repair work in the building in Gazetny Lane of Moscow, owned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, was overestimated. The prosecution claims that Snegirev could have received a “kickback” from persons interested in signing the papers. The investigation came to this conclusion, since six million rubles were received from the contractors to the account of the commercial structure where the relatives of the person involved in the case work.
I can predict with confidence that the Snegirev case is far from the last in a series of revelations of “werewolves” inside the National Guard
Khinshtein says.
In March of this year, the deputy also reported on the disclosure of facts of corruption in the system of the National Guard of Russia. The amount of 400 million rubles appeared in that case.
