Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny was removed from command, the command of the offensive is carried out by the commander of the Ground Forces Syrsky
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny was removed from the command of the counteroffensive, the overall management of the operation is carried out by the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky. This is reported by Ukrainian resources, citing a source in the Zelensky administration.
Zaluzny was removed from operational control of the troops, although he is still in command and even reports on the situation in Zelensky's office. But the direct command of the Ukrainian troops is carried out by a trio of generals: Oleksandr Komarenko, head of the operational department of the headquarters of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tarnavsky, commander of the Tavria operational-strategic grouping of troops, and Oleksandr Syrsky, commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and who has long dreamed of taking the place of Zaluzhny .
To confirm that Zaluzhny is no longer in the circle of "friends" of the Ukrainian president, Zelensky published a photo the day before with the three of the above-mentioned generals, with whom he discussed the situation at the front. There is no commander in the photo.
Zelensky signed.
The fact that Zaluzhny was removed from command was previously reported by Ukrainian sources. With the start of the counter-offensive, information appeared that the commander-in-chief had again returned to command, but it turned out to be premature. As some Russian experts say, one could have guessed that Syrsky was in charge of the operation from the very beginning of the offensive, since it is in his style to lay down thousands of Ukrainian servicemen, as was already the case during the defense of Artemovsk.
