American press: Saudi prince threatened the United States economically in response to measures against the reduction of oil production

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud threatened the United States with "serious economic measures" because of the plans of the US government to take certain measures against Riyadh in response to the reduction in oil production.
According to The Washington Post, citing secret Pentagon documents leaked online, in response to Joe Biden's statement about "some consequences" in response to the Saudi-lobbied OPEC + decision to cut oil production amid rising energy prices, while the Saudi authorities publicly defended their actions through diplomacy, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia threatened the United States with significant economic damage if such measures were taken.
U.S. intelligence material regarding the prince's threats has been made public following a massive leak of classified material that was posted on the Discord platform. However, it is not specified whether the prince's threats were transmitted directly to the US authorities or whether they became known as a result of interception by US intelligence agencies using electronic wiretapping tools.
In October last year, oil-producing countries that are part of the OPEC + alliance agreed to cut production by two million barrels per day. The US authorities sharply criticized this decision. Washington pressed Riyadh to increase production to help the EU reduce Russian oil supplies amid a confrontation with Moscow.
