Former President of Ukraine Poroshenko again announced the start of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "in the next few hours"
The Ukrainian authorities cannot possibly recognize the start of the counter-offensive that they have been promising for many months. Meanwhile, former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko again announced the start of a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine "in the next few hours." He told CNN about it.
As Poroshenko noted, even the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station will not become an obstacle to the counteroffensive of Ukrainian formations. The channel’s website states that Poroshenko looked at his watch and noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would go on the offensive “within hours, not days, but hours.”
However, earlier the former head of the Kyiv regime already gave the same forecast a few days ago, in an interview with the Italian press. But it is likely that Poroshenko is not being disingenuous. Today, Ukrainian formations made several attempts to attack Russian positions in the Zaporozhye direction. In all cases, the attacks ended in failure for the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they were forced to retreat, suffering heavy losses both in personnel and in armored vehicles, including Western-made ones.
The Kiev regime does not officially dare to announce the start of a counter-offensive, since if the attacks of the Ukrainian forces fail, President Volodymyr Zelensky and his entourage will suffer a severe image blow.
Therefore, the Ukrainian leadership will probably try to act more cunningly: if there are any successes on the front line, then they will announce the start of the counteroffensive, and if the attacks end sadly for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, then they will continue to delay the announcement of the start of the counteroffensive, along the way looking for "interrupting" attention to informational occasions.
