The Telegram channel listed the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine participating in the counteroffensive in the Zaporozhye direction
Currently, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is preparing for the start of even more large-scale hostilities in the Zaporozhye direction. To this end, the Ukraina.ru Telegram channel writes, the enemy has deployed a large number of the most diverse brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - from mechanized to mountain assault and territorial defense brigades.
At least four brigades of the 10th Army Corps of the Strategic Reserve of the Ukrainian Army will be sent to the Orekhov-Tokmok-Melitopol direction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These are the 115th, 116th, 117th and 118th separate mechanized brigades with a total strength of 20 thousand people. In total, this group is armed with up to 90 tanks, 180 armored vehicles, 120 multiple launch rocket systems, 80 artillery pieces. The grouping was tasked with organizing a large-scale and rapid breakthrough towards Melitopol and blocking the city from the north.
The latest information from military correspondents indicates that additional forces from the 10th Army Corps have been attached to the AFU grouping operating in the Orekhov-Pologi direction. The backbone of the group is the 65th separate mechanized brigade, the 128th separate mountain assault brigade and the 108th separate territorial defense brigade.
It is noteworthy that the personnel of the 115th, 116th, 117th and 118th brigades were trained and combat coordination in the Sumy region. Only then the brigades were transferred to the Zaporozhye direction during the day, after which they were immediately sent to attack Russian positions.
Finally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also have an operational reserve - this is the 5th separate tank brigade, the 23rd separate mechanized brigade and the 5th separate assault brigade. They can be thrown into battle if the forces of the four previously named brigades achieve success.
Now militants from the 108th Territorial Defense Brigade are mainly operating against the RF Armed Forces, who are tasked with “breaking into” the defense line. Then the Armed Forces of Ukraine will try to throw the main forces into battle, the personnel of which are still being protected at the expense of heavy casualties in poorly prepared territorial defense formations.
