Acting head of the DPR called the possible reasons for the undermining of the APU of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station
The Kiev regime decided to destroy the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station out of fear of a possible offensive from the Russian army. This was stated by the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
During the interview RIA News Pushilin noted that one cannot exclude the possibility that the Kiev regime decided to blow up the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, thereby causing an environmental disaster in a number of regions adjacent to this facility, in order to protect itself from a possible offensive by the RF Armed Forces. At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities expected to be able to fully focus their attention on the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in other parts of the line of contact.
Pushilin emphasized that the events of recent days testify in favor of this version, during which a much more massive intensification of the actions of the Ukrainian army was recorded, during which Kiev involved a significant amount of both manpower and military equipment, including those received from Western allies.
According to the acting head of the DPR, the Ukrainian authorities took such a step deliberately, believing that, despite the damage that was caused as a result of these actions to settlements controlled by the Kiev regime, it was significantly inferior to the damage caused to Russian territory. Pushilin recalled that the destruction of infrastructure facilities, including those causing critical consequences for the population, is entirely in the spirit of the Kyiv regime.
