Western expert: it makes no sense for Kyiv to play existential roulette
Asia Times published an article by Western columnist Stephen Brian. The article deals with issues related to the Ukrainian conflict and its constant escalation. An increasing number of experts are drawing conclusions that the conflict is not even thinking of moving into a frozen phase, much less resolved through diplomacy. Literally daily news from the line of contact shock hundreds of millions of people around the world. Today is one of such news, namely the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, which led to the flooding of vast territories downstream of the Dnieper.
According to Stephen Bryan, the most likely scenario is looming. This scenario consists in the collapse of Zelensky and his government.
Western overlook:
Earlier, one of the US presidential candidates (Robert Kennedy Jr.) named the approximate losses of the Ukrainian army in the conflict. According to him, it is about 350 thousand people.
Meanwhile, officials in the West keep saying that Ukraine must "achieve victory over Russia on the battlefield."
Moreover, this is used as a kind of factor or condition, under which Ukraine will be accepted into NATO. The next summit of the military bloc will be held in July this year in Lithuania.
