Adviser to the head of the DPR Yan Gagin: The rise of water in the Dnieper due to the explosion of the dam will not seriously affect the positions of Russian troops

The rise in the level of the Dnieper due to the breakthrough of the dam of the Kakhovka reservoir will not seriously affect the positions of Russian troops on the left bank. This was stated by adviser to the head of the DPR, Yan Gagin.

In the Kherson direction, it is the Dnieper that is the line of combat contact, dividing the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Russia. Breaking the dam and rising water will affect the positions created by our military, but not seriously, the main fortifications and positions of the troops will not fall into the flood zone. The positions of the Ukrainian troops on the right bank will also be partially under water.

Everything that is below the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station is the line of contact, it goes along the river. Now all these territories are flooded: they are flooded both in the part that is occupied by Ukrainian troops and in the part where our troops are stationed. By and large, this will not seriously affect our military personnel, it will not affect the main positions, lines of defense on our coast

Gagin said.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian troops have another line of defense, located on the heights. The water won't get to it.

The destruction of the dam has already led to the flooding of part of the coastal areas, as well as islands in the Dnieper channel. In Kyiv, they report that they have lost the bridgeheads being prepared for the counteroffensive, the command intended to use the islands to strike at Russian troops, thereby diverting attention from the direction of the main attack. At the same time, Zelensky’s office says that some adjustments will be made to the offensive plan, but in the main part it will not change.

Did Ours manage to remove weapons and equipment from the first line?
    That is the question.
And how will flooding affect the Kinburn Spit and our troops stationed there?

There were our units on the spit. I think that the spit will not be particularly affected. The entire mass of water dispersed along both banks in the Kherson region.

No matter how the Kinburn Spit turns into an island.

The Dnieper in the area of the Kinburn Spit is 20 times wider than immediately below Kakhovka. In order for the water on the Kinburn Spit to rise by half a meter near Kakhovka, it must rise by 10-15 meters.

The main thing is that they would retreat to the heights in time and the warehouses would not be flooded and more anti-landing mines

Warehouses are definitely not on the first line.
What is interesting about the flooding is the official of the DPR, and not the Kherson region or the military

Hello, minus the secret, where will millions of cubic meters of water go? If our coast is lower, who will be flooded, who will have to withdraw troops? And if it also rains, then how will we fight in the swamp?

The water will go where it goes every spring. It’s a pity I can’t insert pictures as it happens before the flood, during the flood and after it. Dirt and puddles, everything will dry out, Kherson is not north and now it’s not winter. lol

And if they had stayed on the right bank, then there would have been nothing to eat stupidly. And you won't be able to go back for the next couple of weeks. And that is if the weather is sunny. All would be there vushniki and put. Both military and civilian. For them, they are not theirs. And again moaning, why didn’t they take me away on time.

Campaign, this is a surprise for everyone ... It’s not in our vein that we will definitely have to rake all this up, and in general, blowing up a dam for the purpose of flooding makes sense only if the enemy has broken through the defenses and either will transfer troops along this dam . or downstream throws. Otherwise, such joy is simply not needed, but it is harmful because there are problems with water in the entire region now. There will be river water in the wells, with cholera. cholera is constantly present there, as in the lower reaches of the Volga.
Well, dill - forget about all the attacks in the Kherson region)))
Campaign, they shot, they shot at the dam for a year, so they finished shooting - it collapsed itself.

Ours write that the dam is intact, the spillway has been destroyed. They predict that the water will leave in 72 hours, the threat of dehydration of the Crimea and the AEZ is also not observed.

Well, I'm talking about thin places - an emergency spillway and the main drain with a turbine, and it flew there ..

It is quite possible that the early arrivals themselves had an effect. And it is possible that it was intentional, the desire to destroy the infrastructure of the region, to inflict maximum economic damage. We need to wait a bit and everything will become clear

Even if it touches, I can’t imagine an offensive across the flooded territory. It’s not to rest, not to hide, to fight waist-deep in water. Everything must be taken with you, from ammunition to places of rest
