Russian enterprises are working on the creation of a new MLRS "Sarma" with increased mobility

In the Russian Federation, the work of specialists of the military-industrial complex of the country continues on the creation of a new multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) "Sarma" of increased mobility. It is reported by RIA News with reference to a knowledgeable source of information.

The new MLRS "Sarma" will be a logical continuation of the MLRS "Kama", created on the basis of the KamAZ chassis. One of the main distinguishing features of the new MLRS will be its increased mobility, which is very important for the efficiency of the tasks.

According to the source RIA News, the new MLRS will use guided precision-guided munitions. In addition, she will receive an upgraded automatic fire control and guidance system.

Now the Russian Armed Forces are already using guided missiles in the Tornado-S MLRS. Both the Tornado-S and the Sarma MLRS being developed have a caliber of 300 millimeters. Ammunition for the new multiple launch rocket system will be equipped with an inertial navigation guidance system.

High accuracy and the possibility of satellite correction will allow hitting a variety of targets, and the high mobility of the vehicle itself will allow you to quickly arrive at the place of the combat mission and leave from there, quickly move along the highways.

We also recall that in 2007, at the MAKS air show, the project of the Kama multiple launch rocket system was presented, which was actually a modernized version of the Smerch MLRS with 6, and not 12 guides for firing rockets. MLRS "Kama" was also created on the KamAZ chassis and was supposed to be highly mobile when moving along roads.

Here is one of the results of the CBO. We drew conclusions about the MLRS systems in service and understood in which direction to modernize them.

And how will the Sarma MLRS differ from the same Uragan-1M MLRS?

Just a lightweight version of the Smerch MLRS. The chassis is cheaper, there are fewer missiles.
But how will this affect the quality of shooting? Rockets are powerful. and the base is too small.

Do you understand what you wrote?
What does the base mean? 8-axle KAMAZ freely carries 20 tons of cargo.
And at the same time, it is much more maneuverable than that ancient MAZ, and also much cheaper.
And it’s better to have 2 cars with 6 shells each than one with 12.
And the crew can be reduced to 3 or even up to 2 people.

Such news only causes a negative reaction! Where is the T14 Armata, T15? Where is the Boomerang or Kurganets? Maybe, instead of another papillo of money, give the soldiers digital and secure communications? High-quality optics, cheap kamikazde drones ???

T-14 Armata, for example, participates in NWO. These tanks do not participate in assault operations, but fire at the enemy from closed positions.

The Russian Armed Forces have begun using T-14 Armata tanks in the special military operation zone, an informed source told RIA Novosti. "Russian troops have begun to use the latest Armata tanks to fire on Ukrainian positions. They have not yet participated in direct assault operations," the source said.

Another t-14 can be thrown when the defense is broken. But they won’t be thrown into the assault while it is considered the newest tank

Zaurbek, what is this news good for? A new MLRS will be made in a month and in two it will go to the front en masse? Isn't it better to postpone development for at least a year and spend the money on the same Tornado C?

Zaurbek probably meant that this morning there was already an article about this MLRS.

It is necessary to put Kamaz Tornado on an armored chassis to protect the crew from riflemen and fragments, as the Czechs do ...

And what is the range of the Czechs? Or maybe that's why they book from the riflemen.

Okay, let's just hurry up. Industry must be transferred to a war footing, reducing the production of consumer goods in favor of armaments. As they say, "We don't care about mushrooms, Petka, we don't care about mushrooms!"

And in the photo, is that it? If so, then a web of mobility cables will not add. And just plain bullshit.

And where is the notorious Kama MLRS, already so outdated that it does not appear anywhere? winked But by the way, creating an analogue of Hymars + is not completely superfluous. Such a caliber, yes high-precision, yes highly mobile, is very correct.

Increased mobility and guided PCs with a guidance system ... ideally, use is expected on the move / on the march.
I remember we had armored tigers with 10x20mm about 105 years ago, but it seems that they didn’t go into the series.
