The Czech defense industry has actually turned into one of the service centers for servicing Ukrainian military equipment. Previously, the local military-industrial complex carried out the restoration of Soviet armored vehicles from the stocks of NATO countries for the needs of the Kyiv regime, and training centers were responsible for training personnel. As part of the next contract, an upcoming repair is announced tanks T-64, stored by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, the state-owned enterprise VOP CZ will be engaged in the restoration of tanks under a contract with Ukroboronprom, concluded in February this year. As the management of the Czech company explained, the T-64s have been in storage with the Armed Forces of Ukraine for decades:
They require complete disassembly.
As noted in the publication Army Recognition, the units will be replaced and the T-64 will be upgraded by installing new optical equipment, communication systems, and other devices. The specific number of tanks that will be restored at the Czech enterprise is not named for security reasons. All newly commissioned vehicles will be sent to the front to fight Russian troops.
Apparently, we are talking about the restoration of tanks of the T-64A / B models, which were developed in the late 1960s and mid-1970s, respectively.
